Money isn’t really as big a deal to Chris as it is for the rest of us because he gets some for nothing every month. Losing the stuff would definitely hurt him because it’s his, but the money may not be the painful part.
This. The value of money comes from what you had to do to earn it and what you can buy with it. Chris gets to skip the first part, courtesy the taxpayer. So forget the gold standard. Forget minimum wage. Forget the various forex indices. For Chris the dollar will always be pegged against the lego brick.
But I’ll tip my hat to Harriet if she dumped Chunky’s hoard. Most people would be livid if someone assaulted their sister.
She may not have connected the two. Having cleaned up after hoarders, I can tell you what you're mostly concerned with is getting rid of the garbage, not looking at it too deeply. Chris' treasures may have been tossed out as just another, slightly more colorful, part of the general mess at 14BLC.
