Chernobyl being a nuclear hellscape is a myth. I mean, it WAS, but not anymore. It’s one part nature reserve and one part still fully functional nuclear reactor. Winning Chernobyl is actually a big deal.
Its a tourist spot lol, no large population lives in the exclusion zone, since the artillery started hitting the zone it has kicked up radioactive dust and the area is more radiated then it has been since they put the sarcophagus up.

On Reddit the efforts to shut down r/Russia (the only big subreddit that is pro-Russian in regards to the conflict and generally criticizes the Ukrainian government) have effectively succeeded. It has been quarantined and restricted. The subreddit had approximately 258,000 members prior to all of this taking place.

Reddit is doing "rextex45" a favor, because clearly he's gay if he's saying "a big yikes" and they frown upon that in Mother Russia.

If they all sit together while he sits apart it could be a way of him trying to show power and authority. Something like "Look how far away you are all from me and my position in charge." . That is just an assumption though, it could be a range of things from paranoia to COVID protocols though honestly.
Possible I suppose, but seems pretty bizarre for what's supposed to be a working meeting. It'd makes sense as an explanation for the one other similar picture I ran across:

But not for something that's effectively in a conference room.
I think its covid. The dude is 70 years old and the SputnikV vax is prob useless against the current strains...or any strain.

Right before covid became real he was out around people doing crap like playing hockey and other nonsense to show off how manly he is.

Okay, that does make covid fears sound more plausible as the reason if he's only been doing this since the start of the pandemic.

Russia getting in on the info wars; i present to you the Mince of Makachkala

Love a good unsourced insight from the glowies

Its interesting that both Germany and Japan have an obsession with cleanliness and extravagant toilet designs
It is further interesting that despite that, those two countries give us the most fucked up porn.

No I'm not. The fact that I shared the Hearst quote is proof that they've been at this for over a century.
Reminder: The media names their most coveted prize after Joseph Pulitzer. Yellow Journalism basically started with Hearst and Pulitzer having a competition over who could be the biggest lying faggot. Think about that for a moment.

Not entirely. Reactors 1, 2, 3 are certainly still viable, but the issues with reactor 4 are huge. The meltdown is still in progress and nobody actually knows the full disposition of the fuel. Efforts to fully catalog the ruins have been a huge fail, as the expedition into the sub basement found radioactive alloys hitherto unknown to man that were so volatile the expedition had to retreat immediately.

The reactor 4 complex was so dangerous in fact the international community had to spend billions of dollars to build a temporary containment shelter for the entire complex due to the fact that rainwater was combining with the radioactive waste and creating the potential for massive contamination. The fact that Russia has taken the team responsible for containing reactor 4 prisoner is infuriating. The chernobyl disaster is not contained. It's an ongoing concern.

Good to know.

On different note, I ran across this earlier to today:

And wanted to ask does Putin seriously sit that far away from his advisors? Other photos appear to corroborate it:
So what the fuck is up with that? Is he that terrified of being assassinated? Or just that paranoid about catching covid or something?
Its covid. Apparently he has a huge paranoia about getting the virus ever since the pandemic started, and have been more reclusive since

I hope you can appreciate that now we are deplatforming countries.

I was always taught Chernobyl was the site of nuclear disaster that never got cleared up and since the plant was disassembled?
No, the disaster made everything within like 20 miles of the plant temporarily uninhabitable, but part of the plant was still running and producing power for years afterward. They put a giant concrete shell over the damaged part to keep more radiation from leaking, and kept the remains of the plant running because the Chernobyl disaster happened during the dying stages of Soviet communism when they were too broke to build a replacement power plant.

With no people around, the plants and animals took over the disaster area and it became a de facto nature preserve. Supposedly radiation levels are low enough that people can enter it without harm, so the Russian soldiers are probably more concerned about enemy bullets than any background radiation.

Edit: ninja'd
