True, West Germany focused on Stauffenberg, Rommel and Mackensen but the latter two are considered problematic today from what I've read a decade or so ago. If they uncuck themselves somewhat I believe they'll push Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck into the limelight because there's more and more dark faces in Bundeswehr uniforms and any German General who was in the Middle East is somewhat tainted by fighting with a nation which committed the Armenian genocide.

Interestingly, my colleagues in SEAsia has been sharing quite a bit of WhatsApp-only articles claiming that this war is actually a proxy war instigated by the United States. It dances around the causes of the war, and takes a very pro-Russia tone.
