Seeing a lot of stories in Western media about how none of the grievances of society matter when Ukraine is getting fucked up. Housing too expensive? Think of Ukraine. Inflation too high? Think of Ukraine. Gas too expensive? Think of Ukraine. Government working tirelessly to take away your right to protest against the government? Think of Ukraine. It's clear this is going to be used as the African AIDS child 2.0 for the forseeable future. It's funny because it can be used to deconstruct anything including leftist motivations. Think you need a union? Ukrainians can't even work at all. Need a higher wage? Dude, Ukrainians can't work and the banks and currency are in trouble. Need safer work place? Dude just dude think of those Ukrainians who are working under bombings, what are you a pussy? Also get ready for the "we need more immigrants from Eastern Europe because the war and shit not because we want cheap workers pls".

Calling Ukraine corrupt at this point is like pointing in the desert and being shocked to see sand. Every single country in the world is massively corrupt, the whole covid bullshit proved it, if nothing else.
I completely get why nobody wants to send in troops and that's valid. Still, Ukraine isn't some backwater middle eastern oil farm, besides what resources and labor power it has, at this point it's a symbolic war to see if Europe will cow down to Putin's bullshit or manage to fight back.

To "facilitate" a protest, you still need to find people to support it and as someone who knows many people with deep routes in Ukraine, I can guarantee you that Ukraine would rather be West than ever go back East, alike with the eastern block countries who fucked off the soviets as soon as they could and are by far better for it, something that Ukraine wants, even if it's having a hard time achieving it. The sentiment is very strong there.

What you say is true, but if West can't unite against a fag like Putin, which fortunately it seems it has, what would make you think people would care for Taiwan? In war, public sentiment is very important, problem is, the public are morons and they would not have cared for whatever economic benefits Taiwan had, until it was too late and the island was long lost to the commies. Now, with Ukraine being a rallying cry against said tyranny, and would Ukraine somehow actually prevail in the war, you can bet your ass China will have at least a second doubt about attacking it, all the while those above the public who realise how important Taiwan actually is will have a much easier way to rally the world and its militaries to protect Taiwan, or at least lets hope so lol

That is just such bullshit, especially in this current context lol
How did you even force yourself to type this sentence out?

You're right. If Saddam had been tolerated way back ago, eventually he would have started some shit and the Iraq ar would have happened anyway, anyhow.

TL;DR: You should care in the sense that Ukraine is at least a mental staging ground for a war for Taiwan.

A dictator's a dictator, a partisan is a partisan no matter where or how.
My point is that Ukraine's situation isn't parallel with Taiwan's situation except only in the most superficial senses.

So Ukraine is basically George Floyd now?

Because I ain't dying so a bunch of Jews can win at Risk IRL. The unspoken problem America has is more than half the country now agrees with this, which is going to be bad if an actual armed conflict ever comes into play.

That "someone" was moot you gigantic gay faggot! It was a wordfilter.
Moot? Moot.... doesn't ring a bell. Must not have ended up being an important figure in history.
Who knew that trying to crash the Russian economy would have consequences?

Same thing he posted a bit ago. Wah wah think of the children, War is hard and it's Current year + 7, hard things aren't supposed to exist anymore.

What has China been up to? I know that there was that rumour that they were sharing US intelligence with the Russians, but other than that I feel like they have been very quiet.

I'm starting to agree with the users who think this is going to end up being a whole big deal... But it doesn't seem like a war that the west is poised to win, I feel it by the way larger countries are dragging their feet.

A fair understanding of geography would point out attempting to invade let's say Finland would be much more difficult vs if they simply invade Ukraine. Ideally Russia would like to have up to the Carpathian mountains as it's border.
You can still launch nukes from Finland though, nukes are literally the only thing keeping russia relevant to any capacity so their justification of preventing nukes right on their border fails

Zelensky won't receive troops or weapons or planes. No he receives a STANDING OVATION from EU.

Useless faggots who prefer useless words over useful actions celebrate useless faggots applauding useless faggot saying useless words before continent of useless faggots.

This is what draws my suspicion too, if they were really getting mass defectors and casualties, Ukranian media would be parading them nonstop. Instead we get an occasional video of Russian prisoners obviously under duress, and a few pictures / videos of bodies, but nothing on the level Ukraine is claiming.
And everyone they do capture is barely-not-really-functional stupid, the type of people who if born in the United States would be studied to find out what went wrong with their genetics to cause such low IQ. And that is saying something, we have about 100 million leftists in this country.

Almost posted this earlier. I take back what I said before about low IQ people in Russia. I actually read the whole piece this morning, and my only reaction is....

It will be far more parallel if Putin wins, then eventually decide that maybe attacking NATO is worth another huge risk, so iching away at America's influence bit by bit, all the while Taiwan probably gets lost, especially when Western allies don't seem to be able to trust for US support.
If Taiwan was something that may happen 5 years from now, it'd be more superficial, but since that shit is possibly only months away, the future of Ukraine is very important now.
