The Russians have the clear advantage and the Ukrainians have nowhere to retreat. The disadvantage Russia has is that it lacks long rang precision airstrike capability. So it either bombs the countryside hoping for a hit or they get close enough for all the shoulder fired missles. A direct engagement is going to see heavy losses on both sides.

Pardon the slight power leveling, found out that my employer closed their Russian branch and effectively put a few thousand Russians out of work so they could virtue signal about Ukraine.
