How are you doing? - Kiwi Farms Wellness Check

Annoyed. My life isn't organised at all and I don't look after myself well. I go through cycles of doing both great and then my energy levels crash and it all falls apart again. Starting over constantly feels rubbish.
I've been there before. Try setting yourself simple goals like making your bed in the morning. Doesn't have to be the full thing, just put the covers back on straight, then comb your hair and generally refresh yourself. It's easy to springboard from there to bigger tasks. Little and often is the trick.

Women are mean.

I keep letting myself get angry over stupid shit and things that are outside my control like COVID and the whole Ukraine/Russia war virtue signaling. In doing that, I do stuff like forget my workout heartrate monitor AND my water bottle causing me to spend $5 on a rental for just that class alone.

I keep wishing to find that special lady who I can one day come home to after a hard day of work. But I recognize I gotta better myself first.

My dad started having really bad abdominal pains so my mom drove him into the hospital. Here's to hoping he's just having a panic attack over severe indigestion since he's prone to anxiety AND really awful stomach aches, but given the way his health has been lately, I worry.

In terms of politisperging, some jackass group has put the Ukraine flag bands on all the telephone poles in the county and it's MAKING ME MAD.

Update on the Dad Front:

He's got a kidney stone. It'll probably pass sometime in the next week. In the meantime, he's in hell. He's doped up on pain meds right now, but obviously when you're dealing with a pain comparable and possibly worse than childbirth, it still hurts pretty damned bad.

Kiwis who've dealt with kidney stones, any suggestions on how to make his next week or so less hellish?

Things are finally evening out for me. I feel better - not normal (or "me-normal") but much better. My birthday was awesome and I'm ridiculously touched by the gifts I got. I even got my very first brand new television, one that can handle my PS5's graphics, and it's pretty outrageously cool. So things are looking up, just have to get back in the rhythm and find the time and energy to do a serious deep clean on my house - chores got a bit neglected while I was busy losing my mind. 🌈Hoping for bright skies and (after today being super rainy and gross) rainbows from here on out.

Sucks for your Dad. They hurt. Take the painkillers, drink plenty of water and hope it is over soon.

They didn’t scan me til after I passed the fucker. That with paracetamol only is something I do not want to repeat.

May it pass quickly.

That's what we're hoping. He wants to go into work tomorrow, but given the amount of pain he's in, I don't know how well that's going to go.

Well today is the day where me and my boyfriend are going to be legally engaged fags. The next few days are going to be essentially be our honeymoon since our (only) roommate left last night to go be with his girlfriend for the next week. so if I don't even post on this site for the next few days, that's why.

Anyway, I'm really excited and really happy. I hope everybody is doing great as well!

Edit: Finally signed the papers, even better day. but my hubby keeps on wanting me to get our marriage consummated, he's going to have to wait.
