"Rye bread loaf", actually. They're uncomfortable as hell (shock absorbers? What are those?) but literally unkillable and can be jury-rigged with a shoestring, a leather waistbelt and a prayer.

just "bread load" ... not all loafs are rye

The special feature of Bukhanka that none of the slavic chairborne troops know about ...

it's access to the engine from the inside. You can literally pop the middle cover and work on the engine out of the rain and cold. So it's pretty different from VW hippie vans. There you need access the "rear".

WTF am I watching M*A*S*H?
Old cars are ridiculously easy to maintain in good working order, so easy a girl can do it. And I did. Drove one across the country in the middle of winter (snow, sleet and Nor'easters be damned) and then some. I can still rebuild a carb if I need to (that not so easy tovaravisch but can do).

In that case the Soviet Union would still be around because it wouldn't have bankrupted itself trying to match Ronnie Raygun's military spending

Stop trying to be clever
The joke keeps flying over your head.

The insult wasn't directed at Ronnie Raygun, it was at his staff, since they would go on sell the 2nd Iraq War.

The 2020s era Russian Federation Armed Forces are a far cry from the 1980s Red Army which invaded Afghanistan and we seeing the proof now.

The Republicans around the 2012 election season were overselling Russian as an evil empire 2.0 and Obama rightfully in that case buck broke them over that.

As far as Obama's strategy towards dealing with a nation that was a shadow of itself, is a different debate.

KEK. What a faggot.
Ooooh nooooos! Not my heckin journalerinos!

So I previously talked about my co-worker in this thread a long time ago, the one who eats up propaganda right?
So I forgot to mention his wife is a Uke, and his mother-in-law is in Berlin. She gets "information" out of Ukraine from a long list of contacts. So I think, maybe he got some good info out of her rather than repeating from the Facebook pages he follows.
"So my mother-in-law was talking about the Ghost of Kyiv. She was told he has 44 kills already"
I asked if he believed that.
"Nah that's too ridiculous."
Good man. Now for the rest of the war-
"It's probably two guys with about 20 or more kills each."
What?
"You know, two Ukrainians probably took down 20 or more each but people think its one guy."

Yeah having some mechanical knowledge it's weird seeing people write "it has a carb" and assuming that's a bad thing. Folks, carburettors are just as effective at delivering fuel as injectors, they're just far cheaper and easier to maintain. The advantage of electronic injectors is in precisely metering the fuel to lower emissions and fuel consumption.

For your post-apocalypse car you absolutely want a carby.

Since the Ukrainian Propaganda maps have been posted, here is the Russian propaganda map for today. I will say, it's incredibly detailed, much more so than the shaded google maps API overlay the Ukrainians maintain.

The original map on the site is a massive image (45MB), so I've down-sampled it to a more svelte 4MB for the post. But if you want to see the full resolution picture, here's the link

And here is the machine translation for what all the symbols in the map mean:

Whether this level of detail means it's more accurate, or it just means that the Russians have a much more dedicated ShillOps squad is up to you to decide.

I'm gonna be damn unhappy when my Ford Ranger finally rusts out completely.

It's practically a Ship of Theseus automobile at this point, but that's because it's so economical and easy to fix and replace parts.

Pretty much, my supposedly "nightmare tier" vacuum hose maze carb system on my Honda works like a charm. Worst comes to worst, I can just do a vacuum delete and swap in a Weber,

Yes, you've already sperged out numerous times about how much you hate him and what you'd do if you got your hands on him personally. It's really gay, by the way.
Nice try, I said nothing of the sort. I said I think it's disgusting for him to sacrifice the people of his country just so he can stay in power, which is what he's doing.

#Russia #Ukraine 🇷🇺🇺🇦: Some alleged (unverified) photos of new combatants of Ukrainian "Territorial Defense Forces" (likely in #Lviv).
Combatants appear to have come from #Brazil 🇧🇷, #Portugal 🇵🇹 and #Netherlands 🇳🇱.
All of them can be seen with 7.62x39mm AKMS rifles.

Bragging online about your presence, (probable) location and showing which weapons you have with you. What can possibly go wrong?
One of the commenters says they are wearing Dutch flak jackets. Afaik civilians cannot buy flak jackets in the Netherlands. (didn't verify it)

This is from another 'adventurer' who is fighting along the Ukraine side; posting pics of his sniper position.
I agree it doesn't reveal that much info about his location but it's clear he's on an attic and his rifle is positioned on the left side of the attic.
