The ones that have been supplying the Ukrainian troops and the foreign vermin? Isn't NATO supposed to only provide for countries that are part of it?
Stoltenberg claimed that any supplies sent to Ukraine were "self-defense" military supplies and therefore allowed to be supplied under the UN charter.

The thing about NATO is that that there is a "regional security organization" loophole in the UN Charter that gives organizations like NATO an almost unlimited right to intervene in other countries within their region without any approval from the UN. The loophole was used to intervene in the balkan wars in Europe in the 1990s and in Libya (which isn't even in Europe) over a decade later.

Holy kek, these Russian missiles can't hit runways at all, they threw a ton of missiles at an airport in K(y)iev about a week ago and had the same thing happen to them. :story: https://twitter.com/ckoettl/status/1501313942144040963

The two buildings are the main terminal and the air traffic control tower. I doubt this was accidental.

For the record, Russia is still gonna take this, it just seems that the Ukrainians aren't BSing about making it extremely painful for them.
Fair comment.
Mind you, it's all well and good for the Ukrainians to claim they can hurt the Russians badly; they may even believe it to be true... but the proof is in the pudding.

That is Vinnytsia airport. The headquarters of the Ukrainian Air Force is located there. Pre-war, the only military aircraft listed as stationed there were transports. The targets they were going after were probably buildings in the airport area rather than the airstrip.

So you're saying 1950s scifi moves were wrong.

Biden’s solution to the rising gas prices “all because of Putin”

“Just have the poors buy $45,000 Teslas to solve the energy crisis,” says an actual retard.
Joe Biden is rockin' this vibe about now.
The USA can't place sanctions on China for the same reason Germany can't cut off Russian gas. There simply isn't a replacement.
India, ever heard of it?

Oil is used for more than just the gas in your car, you demented retard. It goes into plastics, the very fucking road you drive on, it is what powers a significant portion of our homes and business, and is (as of this moment) a keystone of our entire civilization.

People take so many things in life for granted and lack even a cursory understanding of what lies within the foundations of modern society. The light comes on, the water comes out, the food comes from the store, and the thought ends there. Just surviving as a human is fucking hard. Having machines and industry makes life easy but they're fragile systems that all depend on energy. Threaten energy and you threaten people's ability to live. So many people only know modern society and lack the knowledge or property necessary to live a pre-industrial lifestyle.

I can't think of a single thing I use that doesn't in some way depend on fuels, either directly as a component in it's manufacture or indirectly in generating energy for it. If fuel goes up the cost of EVERYTHING goes up and dumb idiots just see the price at the pump and think it ends there. Prices for everything have already increased significantly, increased fuel on top can be the killer. Expect to see the same thing reflected in your electric prices as well. EV owners can act like they're immune but they'll be hit too, it'll just be easier for them to act like they aren't. Cheap fuel is desperately needed to mitigate rising costs in all segments of life and now we are actively choosing to make things worse for virtue signaling.

There are quite a few fundamental problems preventing "green" technologies from being viable and it seems that the hope is that if we force them through hard enough hopefully we will be forced to find the solution. What will instead happen is that we will be fucking ourselves over. This stuff is decades away from being ready for mass adoption. Even if it was ready now, it would take years before any significant portion of the country sees this "sustainability". Gas prices are high now, today and need a solution yesterday.

True, though the Prius Prime (the plug-in version of the Prius) doubles the battery size and can run 25+ miles at highway speeds on battery power alone. Given how much shit I've heard about Teslas, it really seems like gas/electric hybrids like the Prius are a much better bet.

Electric cars have only made sense for people who only need to drive short distances. With the US being a giant country full of wide empty spaces that's not viable for many people and most people who own cars want to have the ability to drive long distances too. PHEVs really are the best solution for reducing gas consumption but the push has been real hard on full EVs instead. My guess would be is that having ICE doesn't give enough smug points for the redditors and isn't enough "green" for the investors who are graciously selling us the solution to a manufactured problem.

If you plan to take over an airport, you don’t destroy the runways because you want to use them for your own planes. No one here or on Twitter knows the details, so why bother speculating.

This is the reporter you’re citing:

A random NYT reporter who previously worked at Amnesty International and has degrees in International Relations and Political Science. No military experience or anything else that would indicate he knows what he is talking about. This is not someone who I would trust to speculate on what the Russian military was attempting to do with that airport or to know what bombs they were using and how accurate they were.

I wish people here would stop posting the dumbass hot takes of randos on Twitter. Just because they have a checkmark doesn’t mean they’re smart; if anything it means they’re a moron.

Zelensky realizes he is a retard and attempts to get a peace that benefits him too little too late, as Russia has all the justification for a regime change now if they want it. At best for the Ukies Russia takes or sets up as puppets lands in Eastern Ukraine, maybe just the Donbass area, maybe more.
Nah, Russia has exactly as much justification for a regime change as they had at the start: none. Zelensky and his government probably could have done a better job in a number of areas, sure. But so far they've done a good enough job for a country being invaded by a much stronger power. Unless they do something like flee the country with a bunch of the country's cash for their own retirement, they will continue to be seen as the legitimate government by most of the world, and more importantly by most of Ukraine. Any government that Russia installs will collapse and be overthrown the moment it isn't backed up by Russian troops in the country. With a decent chance that any troops Russia stations there to prop up the government will experience constant bleeding from insurgents.
I've heard some talk here about Russia annexing land above Crimea as a sort of buffer but I don't know if they will take it.
I wouldn't be surprised if they do. Russia kind of fucked up back in 2014 when they grabbed Crimea. They stopped at the peninsula, which is nice for having a narrow strip of land that's easy to defend. But what they should have done was take up to the river. By failing to do so, they made it easy for Ukraine to cut off the irrigation water supply to Crimea, gutting most of it's value. To the point that one of the first things they did upon securing the area was blow up the simple dam that Ukraine had built to block the water. So no matter how this shakes out, I suspect that Russia's going to insist on ensuring that they can maintain access to the water supply. Whether they try and set up a puppet state, or reach a treaty with the current Ukraine government, they'll likely be taking some extra land above Crimea for that purpose. Though I wouldn't be too surprised if they claimed a different reason that just happened to also put them in full control of the water supply.

Yeah, yeah, it's the Propaganda Independent. But I'm pretty sure this is being done to solve that whole "The foreign legion won't be POWs because they are mercs" issue.

So the entire government of Ukraine is made up of foreign rich people elected by Washington DC
And now the army is gonna be made up of complete foreigners, while the actual Ukrainians have either been killed, annexed to Russia or fled to EU countries as refugees likely to never come back.
The country had already problems with the "Ukrainian identity" which is why they refused and killed the Donbas region separatist.
So what's left of Ukraine?
What exactly IS Ukraine??
