2022 Mad at the Internet Patch Sale

This one is probably a little too unsubtle.

With a heavy heart I have to note that nooses could easily be seen as racist in Current Year, although we know they were intended to celebrate transgender culture
Yeah, that crossed my mind (even though to me that's a very US-specific thing, maybe I'm just being too naïve). The upside is, I'd love to see people dissecting the design to give racist interpretations to every element on it. Hello ADL!
I feel the 41 really enhances the edge, especially since it can be confused with the naughty number 14.
To wit, I was sleepless on account of a late cup of shit coffee while doing it and didn't realise that.
I wouldn't mind seeing the alleged KF kill count included too. That could be a good opportunity to include a detail that I really like in patches: an embroidered detail in the same color as the background. That way it blends in from a distance but is there at close inspection. So like the kill count could be placed as black stitching on the black background. Edit: unless the 5 stars is for the KF kills. I'm honestly clueless as to what the count is supposed to be currently. Maybe Byuu can be a black star to represent how he isn't dead.
Yup, that's exactly what I was hinting at with the star thingies. An obvious way of making the symbolism more evident would be going with skulls, but that wouldn't work with the scale of the rest of the design, plus that on top of the noose would push the entire thing to a flavour of edginess I don't really care for. I dunno what would work better for that, crossbones? X's as in the arms of Amsterdam?

at least try to make it subtle
And its GOTTA have gunt references
Pick one.

I did some patch thingies some time ago and know of people who currently do them by the dozen or custom ones, so just a couple of pointers for @Null and for people proposing designs:

* Check the the embroidery required for the final piece.
* Be careful with details, too many details and the price goes up and some of it is lost depending on the size of the patch itself.
* Check your color contrast.
* Velcro is fine but you can always check other options like simple iron-on or glue, depending on what most people might use it for.
* Is it going to be embroidered or a printed design?

I guess there is still no vendor in mind but it's easier for them to give you a price and tell you what they can or can't do if you already have a design and a rough idea of what you are looking for.

Personally I recommend to pick the intended use for the patch first, "it is going to be single use on a piece of clothing", "it is going to be switched constantly between my backpack and jackets", "it's going straight into my body pillow so I can dream of Null", etc. This gives you an idea of the size it will need and the adhesive, a patch for a backpack is far smaller than something intended for a jacket for example.

Then pick a design, the design preferably needs to be simple, not too much text or smaller details, if we are going to opt for embroidery then keep it to a minimum to keep the price accessible, we might want to aim for a 75% embroidered or even a 50% if the design is clever enough.

If embroidered is not considered, the printed design might allow us to have all the details we want but the colors can be a bit washed up in comparison to embroidery.

It works fine the way it is. Some subtlety is good. You got a globe on there so stars makes sense for representing people not on this planet any more. I just commented before taking the time to really think it through. If I knew the kill count number for sure I probably would have seen it right away. I still like the idea of a hidden text or symbol in black against the black background but that's not really necessary and if you did it to the star like I suggested it'd probably just end up reading like a knockoff of Metokur's logo.

I think there's a lack of emphasis on not painting the Sistine Chapel on a patch, the size needs to be considered and detail can be lost at worst or an unnecessary expense at best.

I hope you haven't forgotten about the palm tree party, my fellow MATI fanzone
1 is probably my favorite. Obscure enough to slap on your shoulder/backpack but topical enough that it's not generic.

Oh I'm not sure of the score either, best quick answer I could be arsed to find was "six gorillion" and that didn't fit. I like the black-on-black idea too, but I'm too retarded to do it justice (:_(

There's gold to be dug in the bottom row. Gold I say.

This thread tickled my inspiration enough to emerge out of lurking. Here's a few ideas.
Lost my patience at the text editor tool.

The Archive Everything design appeals to me so much for some reason. Such an important message and the kiwi bird inside of a folder is silly as if the message is being applied literally. Definitely one that doesn't need to be explained to a normal person and doesn't send up red flags about the likelihood you're about to commit a hate crime. There should be both wholesome and hate crime patch options available.

Okay, this is very simple, but I like the idea of this place being seen as some sort of hazard/danger by the people that are trying to shut down the Farms yet it does not give too much away. So, I went with the OSHA industrial sign silhouette, and the yellow and black theme gives it a nice contrast.
