Sony hate thread

What the fuck are you talking about? Diofield or whatever the fuck it's called isn't a sequel to FFT. Also let's not pretend Nier has good combat, because it doesn't, Nier is liked because of the story and music, the combat is only serviceable. As far as RPGs, what RPGs? No, having stats and levels does not make a game an RPG.
Diofeild plays exactly like PSX's Final Fantasy tactics right down to the fucking summons. The movement system may not be excatly the same and it looks a bit like how Divinity does movement. But DOS's gameplay systems are a refined evolution of the grid system that many other SRPGs used.

Nier does have pretty good gameplay. Specific weapons like the spear are inherently better, there's also quite a few well thoughout boss battles between the original and Automata.

I think as far as sideshows go, this is quite entertaining.
Certainly more than owning a ps5.

Now I have come to realize that Marissa Moira is the recurrent villain character in the Kiwifarms gaming section. Quite curious.
See there's that word again. Must everyone be forced to put things into two arbitrary boxes?

You see this is why when people bitch about lack of moral ambiguity in games nothing changes, because even they just want good and bad to make the choices simple. It's no wonder clickbait sites like Gematsu still exist. You have hundreds of retards so eager to be the hero that dies on that hill of their pet issue morality.

I am the very embodiment of inner peace, so much so that the Dali Llama KYS'd himself 4 times in his previous lives the moment he touched my aura because he knew he could never measure up.

Everyone here is a faggot, like the people making PS exclusives
Woah my friend not all faggots make PS Exclusives.. Some make Nintendo exclusives like Advance Wars and Metroid Dread and Animal Crossing, others make Microsoft Exclusives like Halo, Forza, and Halo, and Forza, and others implement the customer databases to companies like Amazon so everything in your personal browsing history can be leaked to your employer. You see they are a very versatile people which is why they have survived since the dawn of civilization.

Well, they just had an Absolute State of Play and approximately nothing interesting was announced except a fucking re-release of JoJo ASB.
I already got the platinum for it on PS3 but since it's JoJo. I'll platinum it again lol.

Sure, but those other faggots are not relevant to this thread

Did you do all regions or just one? I did both the US and Japan versions and I'm still kicking myself for not buying the digital version of the arcade game because they pulled it.

I mean at least i still have the arcade game on PSX and Dreamcast, but still it's another version with added features.

Only the North American version since I live in North America.

Imagine picking Diofield as "sequel" to FF tactics, and not SE's project Triangle. The debut trailer is so vague on gameplay, like 6 seconds gameplay with UI, and somehow you already know the game is played exactly like FF tactics?
This is exactly like FF tactics?
Starting at 1:04 of the first video if time stamp doesn't work.

From IGN article.

Unironically, it's more similar to FF7 remake with the whole combat slow/"paused" while you pick an ability/command to use. Also, omg summons is like FF Tactics, it's a fantasy Square Enix game.

Your comparison choice is horrible as ever. Randomly using a western CRPG game comparing with tactical rpg Japanese games.
That one time, even saying Monster Hunter also uses glowing weak points system. So many crap you are spewing.

Divinity OS shares more traits with like Baldur's Gate, Planescape and older Fallout. But overall, Divinity OS uses action points turn based for combat instead of real time pausing. Turns out more people prefer turn based combat than real time pausing, that more people are willing to buy Pillars of Eternity 2 with the turn based game mode.

Marissa Moira has also a weird and misinformed way to interpret things, like the recent time he claimed Koei Tecmo faced backlash over the "awful" japanese voice-acting in Atelier Sophie 2. Took a small quick research to figure out it was just a survey from the US branch of Koei Tecmo asking if anyone was (still) interested in english dubbing in the Atelier games.

So Square Enix, the company that owns the Final Fantasy IP and by extension the FF Tactics IP, made a game that plays exactly like FF Tactics but than didn't make it a sequel to FF Tactics?

Yes monster Hunter has a weak point system
xenojiiva_weaknesses-mhw.jpg

Glowing may or may not happen due to the monster, but there's quite a few instances where the monster weak parts parts will glow. You have, Xenojiiva's limbs, tail and head, Tziki's head crest, Anjanath's head crest, Zorah Magdaros's phases where the afflicted areas are glowing stone formations that shit out lava, Brachydio's slime afflicted areas like his hands and crest and tail, just to name a few. There's other instances where the weak points will be an enlarged body part or be vastly discolored from the rest of the body signaling to the player to try and break them. Nergigantes's spikes and horns are like this, Pukei-Pukei's tail, Radobahn and Uragaan's breakable areas will either be enlarged from the main body or be discolored around the areas like their chin, Glavenus or Acidic Glavenus will have it's tail be a different color from the rest of it's body, Diablos has fuck huge horns and a tail that you can easily hit and break, Nargacuga's tail area will be enlarged with spikes(and depending on subspecies) will have the tail tip also be a very different color from the main body) and it's claws will have a different color to highlight them too. They pretty much make the weak points always visible like that.

They function the same as any traditional boss weakpoint system, like the reason why the series had worked so well is that they don't stray from traditional boss design when it comes to how things function. moves are easily telegraphed, weak points are easily seen by the player. They add variety in terms of enemy move set but the flow of each fight always goes the same.
