The irony is that there's probably more actual believers in communism in America than there ever have been in Russia. Honestly though it might work better this time because soybugs don't typically mate.
That's a stretch.
- It's debatable that workshy soyfags in America even count as actual believers. I think the bare minimum for being a Communist is expecting to do or oversee real work. "Writer, artist, activist" doesn't cut it, and "sex educators" get the bullet.
- There were in fact many actual believers in the USSR (e.g. Great Constructions and Virgin Lands volunteers). Some of them became disillusioned, but the supply of believers didn't dry up for at least 40 years.
- Right now in 2022, if anyone offers Russians a return to Communism, they (we) will tell him to gtfo and kys, because we know
the offer itself is a scam. But many, many people would like to magically wake up in a hypothetical RSFSR* of 2022.
* Many 2022 Communists explicitly do not want another USSR because they feel stabbed in the back by the satellite republics. Western scaremongering often goes "omg there's
commies in Russia and they want to restore
the USSR by reconquering adjacent countries" - this is a lie, 2022 commies do not want to "build factories, schools and hospitals for thankless lazy churkas** who will then turn around and cry genocide".
** CIS migrants have a better work ethic than Russians. Maybe it's because they're migrants and thus self-select for it.
