And the best part, someone joined the livestream as BASED SKORDAS, not knowing names were public, and was mentioned by the attorney.

Russ probably shit his pants when he heard that.
Also, at the first hearing, Erika had trouble connecting. She and her lawyer requested another hearing because Erika wanted treatment to be mandated as part of Russ's plea. He rejected this, and that's how he went from pleading no contest to pleading guilty and being on probation for 18 months. She said during the second hearing that she thought Russ might have done something or paid someone to do something to prevent her from connecting.

New info about Russ' case from NULL:
Null talks about (unrelated) Court orders:

Null talks about his cases with Melinda and Russ. Confirms he is in Mediation stage 3 with Russ but says "I cannot say anything about the mediation process, but I think it's gone to mediation like three times now. Can't say anything about what has actually taken place in the mediation, but the fact that it's gone to mediation three times now should tell you something". Says he isn't losing any money over this. On Melinda, he says that Melinda "said the date is inconvenient for her, and that is because she is pregnant again". Talks about his payments to Hardin, and Skordas:

I encourage you all to watch both clips, they are very informative

So it seems Russ mediation stage 3 is Pro Bono idiots forced to continue representing Russ Pro Bono till/if they can find an ethical reason to back out versus null's flat fee appeal attorney in an endless Mexican standoff? If hypothetically they wanted just this thread removed I can't see that ever happening and I imagine the paid nothing side would break before the paid something side.

Am I understanding this correctly?

That's what Null thinks, yes. I'm inclined to trust him on this.
If hypothetically they wanted just this thread removed
That's not what the suit is about, so I don't imagine it would come up in mediation. Then again, it might.

I'm pleased to hear the Digital Justice Foundation is possibly suffering as a result of their voluntary decision to champion Greer's deranged crusade against free speech.
Maybe they've learned a valuable lesson about doing their due diligence before accepting a client?

So pretty much the Ludovico technique.

Eh, kinda-sorta. Except instead of the extremely painful negative reinforcement coming from the juxtaposition of classical music and images of the horrible behavior that Russhole had been known to commit, I was thinking more high voltage electrical shocks and baseball bats to the extremities and genitalia. Maybe they could name it the "Dude-ovico Technique" for extremely reprehensible lolcows?

Then we have Russ's panicked freakout when Chad emerges on the scene,
Speaking of the nuanced bits: You have Russell acting P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C as all get out long before Chad shows up. The barrage of "Ok! Let's meet up!" "I'll buy you a shake!" "So when can we meet up?" "But we can still meet up, right?" is the cherry on top of the shit Sunday. I'm sure he's been told many times that he sounds extremely desperate and extremely pathetic, but he always comes right out of the gate as a stage-5 clinger.
Truly the rubber booger of the Pipsqueak world and kicking his disability's ass.

Not only clingy, but extremely insecure. He gets mad if a girl doesn't reply to him within minutes. He's so fucking jealous he gets jealous over girls he doesn't know having boyfriends.

This sounds like an unstoppable force vs. immovable object situation. Mediation chicken until the end of time. It's what Russell deserves.

Thrilled to hear that Null is paying a flat fee for those appeals. :heart-full:

Whilst I'm relieved to hear that Null's counsel is working on a flat rate basis with the responses to Russhole's latest fuckery, I can't help but feel just a little sorry for his lawyers. Especially if Russhole's counsel is as good as taking "no" for an answer as ol' Shitlips himself is.

I don't think they are. I think they took a look at Kiwi Farms and thought "Hey, it's a fairly small website with no corporate backing. We can make these guys fold, no problem." Then a problem arose in the form of Based Skordas and an absolutely insane userbase filling Null's war chest. I have no doubt they are aware that Skordas is getting paid (even if it is a flat rate) while they are dealing with Shitlips for free. They're probably wishing they put an exit clause in their agreement with Russ.

Russ has a way of interacting with opposing counsel that seems to make them more willing to be flexible with their fee schedules.

When you practiced, did you ever have a client that made you want to jump out a window to escape, even if you weren't on the first floor? I imagine that's what Russ's lawyers are feeling like.

Good point.

Whilst I'm sure Russhole's counsel may already be aware of the futility of proceeding further, Russhole probably won't listen as I don't think he'd let them explain.

If they'd just listen to his obviously superior legal mind, Null would have worn the red dress and played footsie already!

He didn't sound mad when he talked about his various proceedings, which makes me think good things are happening. Dog knows he needs W's right now.

No, but I generally didn't represent clients directly anyway. As I've said, my actual practice was very limited and most of the work I've done related isn't representational but administrative or research-oriented, most of that appellate. Hate to be that vague.

If I ever did go into real practice now, I'd probably do mostly appellate shit, which means fairly little actually dealing with clients or dumb courtroom shenanigans. As amusing as those are at a distance, spending all day watching people intone nonsense at each other all day every day gets tiresome if you actually have to do it.
