The thing that always gets me about these "follow trans women" (or whatever) posts is that they're always insipid. The target audience is presumably allies, right? So it'd make sense to say something like "Here's some great trans creators who are making art, doing photography, creating funny short videos" etc. Then you can boost trans created content and hopefully funnel money towards trans creators.

Instead everyone listed is an "activist", "model" and/or "writer" (two guesses for what they write about). But the allies already get their activism from accounts like this, right? So the point of this list is to... get allies to follow more activism content and clog their feeds with random photos of trans women? What's the point?

As someone else said earlier, there's two sides of the trans community. The hyperbolic and rhetorical ones tend to the The activist type, and the terminally online and paranoid ones tend to be everyone else. A troon that has an activist online presence is less likely to post degenerate porn on main that shocks the normies and more likely to post easy to digest trans positive image sets than one who speedruns or contributes to the next linux distro. They're constantly trying to suppress the truth that transwomen are perverted freaks that want to wear women's skin so they recommend only activists on their shortlists so that it slows the progression of normies noticing the truth.

Of course the police didn't issue an AMBER alert. They're only for underaged kids. This dude is a 20 year old man. Even when a child is abducted, the police have to be very careful of what cases to issue AMBER alerts for because they don't want the public to think that AMBER alerts are not serious issues.
No matter how you look at it, a 20 year old being kidnapped isn't the same as a 10 year old being kidnapped.
