I don't get why Russia doesn't just nationalize the properties and create a corporate structure for them called McDonalds Russia and continue on as if nothing changed, following copyright and trademarks seems kinda stupid when the company just ditches the entire structure at a moments notice. At the very least give the go-ahead at the national level for the General Managers of these shops to assume control of the property and have them just sort out the distribution chain issues. Its just bread, beef and produce. Nothing special. Strip the stupid Mcdonalds logos and become Boris' Hamburger Shop. You may not have the corporate overhead support but just pay raw cash in wages until you get the processes sorted out.

Genuinely curious as I'd imagine they'd be pretty keen to help the Ukies, it is a Christian duty to be like the good Samaritan and Polacks I know seem to like Ukies and hate Russia. Tho idk if putting lots of families with little kids in poorly heated 19th century church buildings with only one bathroom, no wifi and very few electrical sockets would be better than the other options, they're not designed for habitation or comfort or even fire safety. Maybe donating money, clothes and toiletries is better. Is anyone sleeping in the streets?

In the meantime we have great places like The Temple of Divine Providence, cost of 40 milion Euros mostly funded by the government. It remains empty.

Well, I'm not getting reports from defence ministries so I can only speculate.
I'm operating on what we are presened from media. And most of it is from Ukrainian side. Loads of it being blatant lies.
Sure they had an ez win scenario. One of many.
Thinking that only retards are making strategies over at war rooms is naive, in my opinion.
I had not seen vids of grizzlied vets or vdv POWs in the first couple if days of operation.

Not getting reports from defense ministries, either. Just using over twenty years of military experience, retiring as a senior officer. I see what is presented in the various media through different eyes.

Not going to see many pics of grizzled vets. Old men cannot climb hills, as it were. The older men are going to be your top people. The generals killed are of the proper age. Even the colonels and lieutenant colonels look pretty young. The Russians can promote their people quickly. Have seen no VDV POWs, but a number of dead VDV.

Would have expected the Russian General Staff to have developed these operational plans years ago. It is their job to develop operational plans for almost any contingency. Those plans should have been fully staffed and coordinated before final approval. All concerned would have had their copy of the plan, with any last-minute changes transmitted in time for incorporation into the plan.

The Russians have apparently changed their strategy, but it remains to be seen if they'll have the forces to make everything happen the way they want. If the odds had been a little more even believe the Ukes would have pushed the Russians out. As things stand, the Russians still have a grind ahead of them.
