What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

Just unsubed from SkillUp because his latest vid implied that blocking video game services in Russia will get the population to rise up against Putin.

...
Same here, but I unsubbed when the whole cyberpunk stuff happened. I got so tired of motherfuckers doing below mediocre content and milking it like a fucking boulevard magazine.
Quite some channels got unsubbed by me and I don’t want to give my time to mediocre or average content. These fucking reaction news channels they turned into are fucking AIDS.
Nowadays i rarely sub to any channel, if it’s content I’d watch even on regular tv program (13 years without any tv program) then i sub, like Lemmino or gaming pastime.

Unsubscribed from emmymade in Japan because every video was sponsored by the same three companies over and over again.

I'm sure she shilled for BLM at some point.

EDIT: there was a video where she opened with a sponsorship disclaimer about some help group for "racial discrimination", then I noped out.

I unsubscribed from Rogue Internet Man because he stopped being funny and got so high on stream it eventually became unlistenable.
Even him sperging about me on stream and comparing me to Andy Milonakis wasn't enough for me to unsub, because I found it funny that I pissed him off over being a "trans gatekeeper."

I have some second to third hand info here. The "UK Retro You Tubers" frequent a lot of the smaller dodgy cons I go to yearly. I don't know any of those people personally but I know a couple event organizers who do know them.

So the UK retro you tubers are pretty tight nit. Basically a clique. You have alright blokes like Ashens and Guru Larry who put up with and insist on being around offputting trannies like Kim Justice. Or bpd ridden thots like Octavius who thotted herself up until she decided to be non binary to escape solicitations from con goers who thought she was a prostitute at cons. It's almost like dressing like a cat girl with your tits out will give people the wrong idea. But what do I know? Slopes is one of the off putting ones. He acts like a 12 year old even though he's at least in his 40's. He became a massive Diva and made dumb demands of small cons. We're talking asking for a full DJ set up worth thousands so he can do DJ stuff even though he wasn't booked. And he's doing that to tiny sea side cons who might make a fourpence in profit. Even the really shitty UK Retro You tubers thought he was being too much. So eventually they all cut him off. You might see Larry pop up every once in a while because he feels sorry for Slope. But that's about it.

But a big problem with the UK retro scene in general is they just accept the most grimy and off putting poofs you've ever seen and insist on collabing with them. I stopped watching Kim Justice when he turned trans. He released a horrifying video where he introduced his "girlfriend" who looks even more like a troll than he does. Both look like diseased Cabbage Patch Kids tbh. Which is a shame because he makes good documentaries on UK devs. He's just really offputtingly ugly and mentally ill.
Made me lol, that was the video I noped right out on.

He did a video about how his 'girlfriend' died of covid a few weeks ago, that got a chuckle out of me I must admit. :D

YourMovieSucks after his 1917 review.

I can take different opinions just fine, but with this one, it became crystal clear that he goes to certain films ready to hate it by sheer prejudice. I hit the unsubscribe button the moment the video ended.

I think the majority of critics, both on YT and in print, are very bitter and petty people who resent the fact that they're not filmmakers.

I've never been shadow unsubscribed, but I have experienced instances of my new video notifications not being sent. This is usually for channels that upload multiple times a day: I'll see one of their videos in my feed, but I have to physically visit their channel to notice that they uploaded several other videos that same day which I didn't see yet. This happens with Louis Rossmann's videos, as I subscribe to his content and only see one upload in my feed at a time, despite how he usually has frequent uploads daily.

I've seen people say in comments that they were unsubscribed. And also saying the bell does nothing. I tend to not bother subscribing to a lot of things and just manually enter the channel name or keep a txt of the links to things I like. Mostly because I don't want to be bombarded with notifications to 9 gorillion videos every day.

vinesauce is a little bitch.
If this is about the allegation situation and him just disappearing because of it, he was dogpiled by several people he believed to be his friends. Similar to a lot of these things. I don't know how you think you'd react but a tough guy attitude wouldn't save you. He did come back >2 months later anyway.

Never knew Johnny said that; I know he got some shit for saying to get vaccinated at the very end of one video, though. At the end of the day, I still like him, even if I don't support BLM. I guess I don't mind it because John just comes off as a normal guy dropping the line and then moving on to me? He doesn't sound, like, smug or overly serious about it, if that makes sense. YouTubers who get overly smug or pretentious with their political takes tend to get an immediate negative reaction from me, even if I agree with them.

A good example for me would be SidAlpha. Guy made some schizo video over a year or so back, talking about the Communist infiltration of video games, throwing out some pretty hot takes and showing he had no idea what he was talking about when it came to Communism - basically some "everything I don't like is Communism" boomer take. I found it annoying, but at the end of the day I could just ignore the video and catch his next one, since he was usually better with videos than that. Then someone called out him out in the comments for not knowing what he was on about, and Sid started to pull some "Oh, please, enlighten me :^)" smug shit and pinned the comment to get other viewers to attack them, and that just came off as a giant, faggoty red flag for me. Should've just stuck to talking about shitty game devs and making Alex Mauer seethe.
people are infiltrating and co-opting video games though, he's right about that

I enjoyed his videos for their wacky random topics and goofy costumes, but at some point he started becoming more politically charged. His videos nowadays range from shit sperging about real world events to bitching about Trump/Republicans and slipping in a "BLM" in his choppy video titles. To see him of all people fall to this mindset is fucking depressing. Half the time, you can actually sense the butthurt from his video titles.
For context, here is the shit he currently has plastered on his channel:

Watched Jeff Holiday until he, out of nowhere, said "trans rights!" I forget which video because it had nothing to do with the topic. This is someone whose entire channel is about debunking pseudoscience, cults and moneymaking scams, and then he throws around vapid slogans (with no arguments) in support of all three. That tells me that there are some pseudoscience claims that he won't challenge or examine, and will actually support, either because he's inconsistent, a hypocrite or a coward afraid of social pressure.
that guy has been a faggot ever since the Kraut saga

Seen a few of Chill Fuel's videos and they are generally decent and well edited, but started watching this

He basically immediately says that there are 100% legit verified sources on the internet, and some of his examples are The Guardian and Wikipedia. I'm not sure if I can trust any of the research he does if this is his actual belief. Then he goes on to shit talk 4chan like wikipedia isn't basically as unmoderated, just controlled by cliques.

I liked Hbomberguy's media analysis as background noise and the daft skits he did, but he's pretty much given up on that and whines on and on about how the Father Ted guy is the worst person ever because he doesn't like people castrating autistic kids.

I don't have a problem with YouTubers talking about their politics, I like watching debates and discussions where they make actual arguments and back them up. But I cannot be fucked with people who think it's important that their viewers all know their opinions on completely unrelated bullshit.
I support transgender people who transition or plan to transition, but I'll confess that people saying "trans rights!" out of nowhere piss me off because they're supposed to talk about the topic at hand, not politics or neurological disorders that make people's lives hell.

I caught that too. He does bring up some interesting topics, but Wikipedia certainly is not a credible source. In school the teachers would even say that Wikipedia cannot be used as a source because any asshole can edit the articles. If you are going to use Wikipedia consider it like a blog and then you are going to want to check out the references.

That video is not enough to stop me from watching him, but it is a strike against his credibility in my book.

Most of the time it is not a particular video that stops me from watching a youtuber. It is mostly a result of content drift and me losing interest. When a youtuber starts getting preachy and feels the need to make "deep" statements that accelerates my disinterest.

Oh and if you are going on about how hard your job is and personal problems that accellerates it too. I understand venting now and then but please keep it to a minimal. Our relationship is you are the entertainer and I am just a member of your audience. It is not my business to care about the behind the scenes drama, I am not your friend or therapist.

For me it's always a single moment. Can't remember his name/channel, but a very technical digital-music-recording guy I watched for years was gradually becoming less interesting, increasingly devoting his videos to responding to dumb comments on his previous videos, etc., when suddenly one day he said that believing there was such a thing as a poor implementation of flac decoding was the same as being a white supremacist. The end. He was, of course, British.

I still watch YouTube. There are times when I'm very disgusted by what the algorithm shows me though. I watch a cute animal video and then the next video is one of those fetishy animal deaths or predators hunting in gorey detail. I just want to see parrots being idiots not getting caught by a snake, please and thanks.
