I wish we had more of those Japanese Game studio collaborations, IE Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, that Sega partnership in the OG Xbox, IMO that was peak Xbox.

But no. I get shit like Racing with Ryan, Ben 10 Power Trip, and a Paw Patrol video game.

Gamepass is great value for money tbh and given the amount of major games that have dropped day 1, I'd say it's easily worth the money (moreso if you abuse turkish xbox live glitches to get 3 years for £120)

Yes I'm aware I don't physically own the game, however I'm also not retarded enough to believe that a game will never go on sale in the future. If I get a shitload of playtime out of a AA game on release and then pick it up in a sale for a few quid 3 years later then is there really any major difference?

A load of the Microsoft games themselves are dogshit mind, and I won't be defending that. Gears has gone to shit, Halo has been shit for years, the Forza Horizon games are fine but are clearly setting the tone for microtransactions with all the lootboxes. The library is getting pretty fucking insane though ever since the Bethesda aquisition and of course we all know that all the Call of Duties + Crash + Spyro + Tony Hawk's are coming in the future as well so there's hope that they might produce one game that isn't fucking awful with their huge game studios library.

This is it guys, the man himself is promising a "steady flow of great games":

Unfortunately none of them will come from his inhouse studios:

It is amazing how can you flip the narrative by using a port and a crowdfunded multiplat game:

Maybe with this everyone will forget that you burned money on the promotion of a space jam beat'em up:

When will the Activision deal finalize so we could get COD and Overwatch?

I think the original intention was to purchase Activision by the end of the year so it's probably going to be a mess.

We might see some of the smaller titles hit first or something like Crash/Spyro Trilogy + not the latest CoD in late Summer once the deal passes the basic monopoly regulations.

Game Pass and any other "Netflix of Games" service can suck my below average sized cock. I would rather quit the hobby than give up physical media, I'm not joking.
Record sales have surpassed download and CD sales for music. And digital services and streaming is way more ingrained there than it is in games and this is with Apple having a huge influence.

So even given that and not only does physical media still rear it's head, but the ORIGINAL form of that specific physical media for that medium, really goes to show that people in the end will opt for it.

thats also because no one buys albums, everyone pays per song same with streaming. if they counted every record as 12 songs i bet it would be getting their ass kicked on sales. Also the types that would buy music (when you can stream) are the types that would buy records.

as for gamepass its like Apple+ or Disney+ or prime or how netflix used to be. its considered a great deal because you rarely pay full price. $100 for 3 years is great especially for new releases when thats the same price as one ultimate edition of most games now. So either hope the new assassins creed will keep you entertained or you can play a shitload of titles some new some old in tons of genres. most FPS games from years ago that you'd want to play the campaign of, every Final Fantasy from 7-13, all of the yakuza games, and every indie game worth a fuck. as well as those revolver digital titles. i think you can even play tie fighter on it. and thats just for PC, on XBOX they have pretty much every game you could have played on xbox 360 on there. from GTA v to republic commando.

obviously xbox will never make a good game ever again, outside of halo their track record was dogshit since the beginning.

Xbox when it comes to family friendly games is really behind, while it's not it's core audience and it will never match Nintendo in that market it is pretty dumb leave that gap still. If a parent wants a console that has games both for themselves and their kids, right now PlayStation is a better option if they just want to buy the one thing.

Stopping adding backward compatibility, they gave the reason of rights issues but still first party games like Blinx 2, OG Fable, Blood Wake and Kung Fu Chaos which weren't added. MS also said technical reasons being another reason, in that case why not make them Xbox Series only bc if they need more power. Less 100 OG Xbox games were added is pretty pitifully

Never patching the 360 to be able to use Xbone controllers. New 360 controllers are hard to find and if I want to play a 360 game that isn't BC right now I have to use a shitty 3rd party one. While PS4 controller on PS3 is far from prefect it least make the games playable even if it misses some features.

Not putting games on the switch. Not talking about new games but rather N64 games they own by Rare and 360 era games. The few games that were put on like Ori did very well on the switch showing a market for some MS games. This could have been a good way to offset the cost of porting old games to pc by also doing a switch port at the same time. Also could have been used to convert some Nintendo players into getting a Xbox as a secondary console. Really money left on table not porting something like Banjo HD to it but rather letting Nintendo use a shitty emulated version for their own sub service.

Letting lot of ips just die. You have Gears and Halo which while still get games that review fine but is a large group that is not a fan of how both series have been going since new devs have taken over. Got series like Crackdown and Battletoads which they brought back after much fan demand to totally miss the mark. And finally got series that they have done nothing with for way too long. however they do seem to be getting better with bring back Fable and Prefect Dark however the latter of which seems to be having dev issues much like Crackdown 3 did.

OG Fable,
Fable Anniversary is on Game Pass.

I think they're trying with Game Pass instead of consoles,

Being fair with microcock, dead rising 4 being a disaster was hardly their fault and had to do with capcom's "let's make all our games terrible" initiative of years yore.
Funny you say that because Capcom hire ups are actually the good guys in this scenario if you look into the dev history of that game. Time and again they kept telling Vancouver to make them a fucking proper Dead Rising sequel that would sell, and time and again CV came up with prototypes and bullshit of games that had nothing to do with Dead Rising as established.

They made a Souls-lite with zombies, an Assassin's Creed with zombies, and a Last of Us-lite, all of which got shitcanned once Capcom figured out what they were doing. By the time they had like 1 year left to make a game they knuckled down and shat out 4. It's a good thing that Vancouver got shut down, it was their own fucking fault.
