Mysta's doing a karaoke stream in celebration of 300k, and from the looks of it might reach 400k on stream by total accident.

He's not much of a singer at all and doesn't seem to be trying too hard to (honestly some of the worse singing I've ever heard), but hearing him butcher Japanese with his horribly thick cockney accent is somewhat entertaining.
That's inspirational, I can be a idol like him

SHIBUYA HAL V-SAIKYO TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS:

I know people aren't very interested in APEX but it's worth talking about. In my opinion, these events are less about the game and more about the wacky combinations of members you'll rarely see interact with one another. These tournaments have had some genuinely top-tier anime moments, and they're worth checking out.

Without further ado, the teams + Hal's commentary:

Team 1: Kuzuha, Ibrahim, Kou
20220318_123428.png

Hal: Kou actually reached Diamond IV after the cut-off period, so this team is technically above the point threshold, but he has to draw the line somewhere to organise.

Team 2: Chihiro, Ratna, Kaida
20220318_123421.png

Team 3: Uruha, Kanae, Fairys
20220318_123447.png

Hal: He seemed to imply that once of them actually rejected the invitation to be a leader (I am guessing Kanae).

Team 4: Pakael, Ren, Riri
20220318_123455.png

Team 5: Sara, Matsuri, Sena
20220318_123500.png

Team 6: Noah, Ex Albio, Reimu
20220318_123506.png

Hal: He doesn't know much about Reimu, but is happy that his tournament is becoming more international. Japanese fans joked that her Japanese is better than Ex Albio's.

Scuttle: Believe it or not, despite my love of Nijisanji, Kurumi Noah is my Oshi, so it works out really nicely that she's also the one who did this and gave Reimu some experience on the big stage. Reimu is a big Astel fan and said she talks to him a lot, so I'm expecting this to lead to some cool interactions.

Team 7: Ars, Rena, Undecided
20220318_123520.png

Hal: There's a couple of teams with undetermined members but he expects they'll be filled before the tournament.

Team 8: Reid, Ema, Deron
20220318_123524.png

Hal: He feels that Deron only being worth 3pts is criminal, as she allegedly reached Master in the Ranked Arenas mode. I'm not sure if this is a joke or not as I don't watch Deron play APEX that much.

Team 9: Hima, Ririmu, Yashiro
20220318_123537.png

Hal: Hima was supposed to join the last tournament but couldn't due to complications with the minimum requirement to make a team.

Team 10: Met, Chigusa, Axia
20220318_123600.png

Team 11: Meika, OdaNobu, Beni
20220318_123610.png

Hal: This is the exact same team that was in the last tournament, and they've improved a lot since then.

Team 12: Akina, Fuwa, Mayuzumi (Meshers)
20220318_123614.png

Hal: He noted that they initially didn't meet the minimum requirement to get in the tournament, and lauded Akina for working his ass off to get into Diamond so they could play together.

Team 13: Shiina, Naraka, Naru
20220318_123626.png

Team 14: Hinano, Miyako, Nazuna
20220318_123631.png

Hal: He thinks this team is very strong. With a dedicated Gibby like Miyako, Hinano doesn't have to fill the role and can do what she does best.

Team 15: Sumire, Lisa, Undecided
20220318_123642.png

Team 16: Astel, Rene, Kotone
20220318_123653.png

Hal: Astel commented that he was struggling to find teammates whilst his point value was 10pts, so Hal dropped it to 9 under the restriction that he is only allowed to play as Mad Maggie.

Team 17: Virtual Gorilla, Siro, Warabe
20220318_123657.png

And then the first bombshell announcement:

Team 18: Towa, Aqua, Suisei
20220318_123712.png

Hal: He isn't sure if Aqua is worth 10pts as she has no tournament experience, and isn't sure how much of her ranked grind will translate to becoming an IGL against other organised teams. He says that getting to Master solo has to be worth something, though, so it works out.

Then Shibuya Hal announced the first generation of NEO-PORTE members.

unknown-3.png

...And then immediately threw them into the tournament, making up the last two teams.

Team 19: Nayuta, Yui, Niu
20220318_123722.png

Team 20: Minase, Inu, Forte
20220318_123730.png

Hal: As part of their induction, they were required to tell him their highest rank in APEX, so this is their starting point.

It was galaxy brain of Hal to debut his 1st gen whilst 120K people were watching the stream, and putting them straight into action will work really well.

Standouts are Noah's team as Reimu represents the first foreigner to participate, Sara's team as her and Matsuri are together, and Towa's team as the long-awaited wish for people to see Aqua go up against a handful of the V-Tuber monsters becomes a reality.

Sleepy reapy is live with a breakdancing deadbeat and three big announcements.

Numbero Uno: New song and MV on Monday.

Numero Dos: Her birthday is a 3D concert with guest performances. Will also have multiple big lifechanging announcements to make during it. Her biggest announcement of her career.
(Also says that everyone has 3D access now, so expect others to do 3D events on their own, not just her.)

Numero Tres: First full length album (UnAlive) on March 21st. Predictable. Also hinting towards a physical release after the digital.
Multiple songs will get MVs, but only UnAlive at launch.

Giving a short preview of Dead on Arrival by Camellia. Probably the most DemonDice song she's ever put out as Calli.
View attachment 3083227
Seems you beat me to the punch with that edit.

There's just so many things happening at once. MASSIVE HYPES! There's Holo Fes, 3D MVs, a 3D Birthday concert, and a full album with Red sequel and Huge W (which is what this album is), Guh 2.0

Dead on Arrival is a banger already! We're winning and Cover's gonna rake in the big bucks. LET'S GOOOOOO!

Ina smooth

Was looking through video and I see her response to Haachama "Well no but actually yes" So you do want to be hit Ollie. I knew it. Ollie M
I'm bad at runes, but I think she offered the JPs two zeroes less lol (one million dollars vs one million yen).

In most cultures a white woman yelling "I have a gun and wine" at 6am would warrant a call to the police.
The cops showed up at what, nearly midnight JST? And you thought your local response times were bad.

Edit: There's a Japanese-subtitled clip of the relevant moments from Calli's Elden Ring stream lol

Afterparty to 400K happening rn. First stream of his that I'm watching, subbed

Can't quote @Scuttle big recap of the Apex tournament

I can already feel the emotional damge of having to listen clips of Aqua crying if her solo ranking fail to translate to the tournament score
APEX matchmaking is relative to how many members you have in your party.

For example, if you go in as a 3-man team, you get matched with other 3-man teams. If you go in solo, you get matched primarily with others who are queueing solo.

So basically, not only does Aqua have no experience in a tournament setting, she also has next to no experience playing with and against lobbies of coordinated teams when she played Ranked. Now suddenly she's in a lobby with monsters like Astel, Pakael, Gorilla, Noah, Hinano, Reid, Chihiro, and Naraka - all of whom have a lot more experience. That's fucking rough.

I'll be interested to see where they end up. I personally can't envision them winning, but they might be able to string some decent games together if they play smart.

Now, waiting for Towa to succeed in convincing Botan to join.

Maybe, Towa is taking a huge emotional role here as she is the coms leader. I think Towa and Suisei can keep Aqua level but I feel bad that any hate will level on Towa. I can see them ratting out some good points and having great banter.

I need a Haachma commentary stream for this now, really just discussing the banter between Matsuri and Sara.

All in all psyched to have an ENtuber notSelen, Reimu, playing and can only hope for some watch alongs. Ame, Mumei and Kiara screeching commentary would be great.

I like him cause he gives no fucks about the Twitter mob and actively fucks with them

Hes not a political sperg and if he addresses politics he takes the piss out of both sides

He helped melody during the digitrev bullshit

He tried to raise awareness about the Vshojo impersonation scam (even if it was ill advised due to the apparent secret reason the Vshojos were all endangered by it)

Plus his mr beast style mega collab competition vids are fun

Idk i see why people would find him annoying i find him to be a lovable troll/goof

Bring on the neg stickers I know they are coming
Nux strikes me as the kind of person that is an early 2000s internet troll. Obviously, not for everyone given how obnoxious and clickbaity he can be but it is part of his "brand" but I can see why people like him.
Not a viewer of streamers and vtubers. IMO the two somewhat prey with social lowliness of some set of people that are "forever online" (I know that all "entertainment" "industries" does that someway and/or longer like sports industries).
I think what is more damning is a streamer is usually one person or two that manipulate the paypigs and virtual youtuber have a company behind them, indicating that have a group or a equip behind them . Therefore people see the aspect of making money more than a lone streamer, even the two are virtualy the same.
Even I read this thread for curiosity, don't know what are the power of management can make a virtual streamer do. If anyone can answer what usally they do, I will appreciate.
The power of management for a v-tuber is basically the same power of management for most any other company. V-tuber companies are really no different than things like FazeClan or other streamer/gaming groups in that management can help secure brand deals, collaborations, etc. If you look at companies like Hololive or Nijisanji, there really isn't a lot that they "make" a streamer do other than corporate PR statements for scandals, but working for a company only guarantees visibility not money. The company provides visibility, equipment, etc. but it other than some general guidelines because of website TOS, brand image, etc. they don't really control the content that the v-tubers make.

That, and really only a "minority" of v-tubers have a company. Most are independent or are under smaller, basically, indie companies that pop up and die like wildfires. Between Nijisanji and Hololive, if I'm being generous they probably have a combined total of 100 or so Virtual YouTubers. The V-Tubers they have individually have massive followings yes because they basically have marketing teams but overall comprise a minority of virtual YouTubers in totality.
Why can't we just enjoy things without all these petty slapfights and yabs?
Because clout is a drug and the people that are prone to causing petty slapfights and yabs are also the same ones who jump on the trend because it gives them another measure of control. Hell, look at how many indie entubers "call out" someone for having a loli avatar while following hololive loli/shotacons because "we need to protect the community". They came into the community probably a year ago at best and now have some misguided idea that it is up to them to protect the image of it from normies.

So Matsuri reeled Hoshikawa in, good for her.
Aqua's participation in a tournament will be interesting, I hope she doesn't break because of the expectations. I remember Suisei and Aqua playing together but I don't think Towa and Aqua have ever played APEX together before.
I will mark the date in my calendar. Here is the link to the liquipedia site of the tournament.

I honestly think that Aqua is too good that they'll manage to win the whole tournament.

Blue Archive (Korean Mobile game, Holo has shilled them a couple of times) teased they would be dropping their own VTubers
View attachment 3083492

Since the reveal, they have recieved nothing but backlash and has since decided to cancel their Vtuber project effective immediately

I honestly think that's a little disappointing. It would've been good at a business standpoint for another avenue of communication with the community, relaying sneak peaks of new things with the game or series, and help expand brand exposure. With fans they could have character they enjoy in a new interactive setting and fun community engagement overall.

I get where people are coming from in disliking it, but I think there's potential in the idea of having vtuber of notable character from established IPs.

Doubt it , I like her too but just the facts that crack addicts like Kanae and Astel are there and she just have Towa that is okish and Suisei that rarely play Apex in her team

I was really not expecting Reimu , i supposed Astel struggled to get team mates because Ollie is diamond too
