That's not what I'm referring to, though. What I'm referring to is the phenomenon of fantasies like gay men going "oh I bet this homophobic Republican is only a homophobe because he's gay and ashamed of it," or Anthony up there going "this Republican politician probably only hates trans people because he wants to be fucked by a transwoman and is ashamed of it and secretly watches tranny porn." That's not what these tweets are about at all.

For one thing, those women seem to be having involuntary sex dreams about Trump, not actively fantasizing about fucking him or being fucked by him. But also, they're not accusing him of hating women solely because he wants to fuck them, either, which is the phenomenon I was referring to - not least because the phenomenon relies on the idea that the alleged bigot in question only hates the marginalized people because they're ashamed of their sexual attraction to them, and no straight man is made to feel ashamed of his sexual attraction to women in our heteronormative society, especially not someone like Trump who goes about bragging about his sexual harassments and assaults against unwilling women and is clearly unashamed of his sexuality to the extreme of being an open sexual predator.

The whole "they only hate us because they want to fuck us and they're ashamed of it" fantasy only works if there's a reasonable assumption that the "haters" would be ashamed of wanting to fuck the people they hate. A homophobic right-wing religious man living in a homophobic society who believes gays are degenerate deviants would be ashamed to be sexually attracted to men, a racist white woman who believes black people are subhuman would naturally be ashamed to be sexually attracted to black men, etc. A straight man in a heteronormative society is not going to be ashamed of being sexually attracted to women. That shame is what the entire fantasy relies on, so if it isn't there.. you can't really make it work even if you wanted to.

Besides that, I've noted in my post "(by and large)", in other words some outliers may exist, but they are outliers - this is still a distinctly male phenomenon.
