Because of Moonchild's inherent weakness to control the half of you that are fuckin morons or run literally anything beyond the bare minimum which half the time isn't enough.. I am severing my self from this project and will no longer be involved with anything to do with Mozilla Technology, This Project, or anything labeled unified or goanna.

This is everything you all wanted. Me gone completely and for Pale Moon to be run solely by Moonchild again without much if any interference.. Well that is what you got. I hope you enjoy running your shitty firefox extensions because that was according to MY design. I came up with the plan to do everything that has happened since the fake drama presented in December. While that may have been fake and broadly scripted.. THIS is not. People have been for years making me the target of everything wrong in the world and holding me responsible for things I merely implemented and enforced on orders. Have I made some mistakes in suggestions and persuasion, of course.. Have I misread some situations.. absolutely but I get blamed for things that I fiercely resisted doing or didn't even know about until after the fact.

The PLAN was that I would remove my self from the limelight as a target to always point to and that Moonchild (which has ALWAYS been in charge and every decision approved and every order given from him) would be the one "restored" to power. As part of this scheme of mine to undermine the bullshit narrative of pathetic sick disgusting hate-filled drones at reddit and elsewhere .. WE would give you users everything you wanted and return back to what was CLAIMED to be what YOU wanted even though tangibly it wouldn't be much different because Extensions still need to support the application they target and they ARE going to STILL get broken as things change and evolve.. BUT the whole thing was to eliminate every bullshit narrative spread by the filth both here on the forum and enemy platforms that Moonchild himself allowed to become impenetrable strongholds of hate and war.

It worked brilliantly and our enemies were left stunned with not much left to work with and, of course, real good and kind legit users would benefit no matter what.. it was to be a win-win situation. All the fantasy bullshit was to be obliterated and everything was to have a fresh grand outlook.. But then comes Moonchild not wanting to stick it out until everything was ready and used a damned security issue no one cares about especially half the Pale Moon users cause they will stay on older versions forever if push comes to shove.. to force a premature release that has been broken from application to language packs and forcing me to spend a week with almost no sleep to get enough of the Add-ons Site done to serve the extensions and language packs that were essential to this entire carefully planned and difficult process. Don't forget that every major problem aside from hurt feelings of weaklings was NOT my fucking doing.. I protected you from some really stupid fucking decisions over the years that would have caused the complete collapse of this project long ago. No this botched milestone release is squarely at the feet of your glorious leader and NOT my fault.. YET apparently it is MY fault anyway.. I have fallen on sword after sword for this shit, Moonchild, and the lot of you and I am done. Simply done.

I don't follow Palemoon but this sounds like nothing but a blessing in the long term. Even I know of Tobin as a wacko, he's notorious.

But seriously though i do not understand the people wanting palemoon besides vague grunts of "muh bloat" as if firefox or chromium aren't faster than palemoon(BTW palemoon is slow). I get wanting more browsers but old ass firefox is not a good base for this. Frankly modern firefox isn't a good place to start either.
You can either work with WebKitGTK devs to actually make it more usable(they are also working on experimental extension support which i think is great)
You can go the route of SerenityOS and make your own browser from scratch.
You can even hard fork Chromium if you don't mind bothering with one of the largest codebases ever.
Even mozilla wanted to kill of firefox partially in favor of newer stuff via the servo project. But they were too incompetent to do it.

That said, a browser fork that keeps running old Firefox extensions with an even smaller market share than the original today isn't exactly a potent weapons platform.

Sup faggots.. So yeah, Moonchild really is going all out on embracing all the hate (some of it deserved) on me right now.

BTW here is the timeline of events..

1. I said what I said in irc about Pale Moon being flawed, the language packs being broken, and the Add-ons Site being rushed to barely being able to serve /SOMETHING/. Then Moonchild tried to put the blame on me for a code change that reverted what was known as DIST_SUBDIR that thing Mozilla did when they were gonna make a Metro Browser. That happened months ago so there is no excuse for seriously fucking up the language packs AND not testing the browser release properly.

2. Moonchild ragequit to beat me quitting the project.

3. I sent the private messages I did and after a while of him ignoring me I shut down regolith (the Add-ons Server) and an attention getter. Seeing as it was posted that the Add-ons Site and Service was in flux.. tangibly it wouldn't have mattered for the all of 15 minutes it was down.

4. When I did that I noticed out of the corner of my eye that one of the cores on Bismuth (The BinOC Server) was at 100% cause I happened to have htop running. It was Moonchild trying to tar up /etc /home and /srv on a server which has NO Pale Moon related bits except dns zone files which are git controlled and the ONLY reason Moonchild had access to the BinOC server in the first place. I terminated the tar operation and his ssh session to prevent him stealing BinOC Data and Personal Files and locked down his account. THEN I wrote the opening post on the forum.

5. After another post or two I was banned from the forums.. Yeah so what, big deal. BUT He also banned my repo.palemoon.org account which had all my git repositories on there.. He COULD have merely removed access from MCP org and repos but he knew not only did I have a lot in private repos but MY infrastructure was largely git controlled.

6. Given that and the prior unauthorized access to steal data and still being ignored and threatened on IM and the forum respectively.. I was concerned about him being the dns slave to my dns server so I removed his zones and logged into DE2 and shut down the slave. Given he could have effectively gained control of my domains until the nameservers were changed it was too much of a risk since TRUST had been broken by the prior attempt to steal things that did not belong to him.

7. Given his extremely long TTL on his dns records he let it go HOURS before it all expired and he BOTHERED to restore DNS for his domains. He could have done it well before I was banned from FPMO and RPMO. His claims of damage are false.. No tangible damage has occurred and he HAS everything he needs to run his own shit based off my hard work. He has weekly backups I provided him from 2017 onward as well as the current state of regolith.

Instead of my scheme which we planned and refined together to finally end all drama he BOTCHED his release in the guise of a security update.. IF that update was so damned important he could have spun up a 29.x version and actually LET the plan come to pass and everything would have been so nice..

Given how SPECIFIC and WELL CHOSEN his words are and what he is allowing to happen in that thread and WHO he is letting them say shit worse than his distortions and mangling of the facts.. I think this was premeditated.. Moonchild is likely one of only a half a dozen people who know me well enough to predict my actions when very specifically provoked.

I think he planned this from the get go in November when I presented MY plan to him.. I think he wanted out completely but in the meantime people will, in the short term, throw money at him for getting rid of the Evil Toxic Tobin. Then he will cut and run because he has no one that can do what I did. Or he will FIND someone and it will be kinda crappy.. I really dunno.

Either way, I won't be coming back to Pale Moon or assisting Moonzilla in anything.

Regardless, if I do contribute to other open source projects.. It won't be in a way that exposes you or I to undue horseshit from now on. Just as long as you don't consider a difference of opinion massive chan drama or whatever. Also, I was quite upset at some the earlier threads here.. But that was then and time away from the community has given me somewhat of a different perspective. Just too bad in the end.. Moonchild had to be the one that fucked everything up. I should have accounted for that in my strategy. Oh well.. Done now.
