Really gets me wet ngl.This isn't any kind of mud. It is wind blown silt. Loess. These fine particles retain moisture around them by surface tension. Not too fine like silty clays that seal the water above them to run off and not too large like sand that drain the water through them. This is what makes it an ideal grain growing region. It takes a very long time to dry out as the soil essentially acts like a sponge.
A bottomless morass of goopy black mud. Special tracks and tires ain't gonna save their ass. Only summer weather.
