Either way, he won't have to be a responsible adult at any time in his life.

This really is one of the Bad Endings...
What would a Good Ending be, in your mind? A realistic one, I mean.

Or maybe he saw it in one of his "educational" pornos, the office scene is a common theme, after all.
'nick at nite' n shit ran all the shows i watched as a kid. i don't remember a sit-com in the 70's - mid80's that didn't have the lead white man have an office job, or even a home office.

my pappy and fred flintsone were the only working workers. :P

tldr : television.

that mouth breather fiona.
she was 80% of my moderation while i was out sick for 2 months. crazy kid, duh. but she pulled her fucking weight and mine. i never expected to come home to that damn subreddit still open. her tism focus was boss.

...-OR-, her account was puppeted by 5 of bella's lackies 24/7...

get used to it, he's never coming back from that hospital. "and he never returned"
Yeah, it would be a miracle (if you could call it that) if Chris is set free. He's going to be a ward of the state especially after being sent to the hospital. IT IS ACTUALLY RARE FOR AN INSANITY DEFENSE TO BE USED AND WORK. But in Chris's case, the lawyer has a good chance since his client is now calling himself a Jesus and tried to "heal" Barb.

There would be a good chance that he would be allowed to go to a group home setting but his record along with the very possible sex offender label keeping homes from accepting him. Residential homes and group homes have been under the spotlight due to the abuse that their vulnerable residents have received and a lot of places have strictly changed their policies to keep them safe.

The most optimistic would be a residential home setting, prison, or homeless under a Virginia overpass.

We (the US) don’t lock up every person who thinks they’re Jesus. It’s a common delusion and most of the people who believe that are harmless. We certainly don’t lock up every person who pretends to be Jesus for funsies and cope. Calling yourself Jesus won’t get you special treatment.

Chris didn’t think he was healing Barb. He says that now because he thinks we are stupid and will believe it, absolving him. He knew what he was doing. He might have told himself the story of “healing” over and over again because he knows it was wrong and shameful and he might believe it himself at this point, but you would have to prove he believed it at the time of the incident.

The most optimistic would be a residential home setting,
That’s not optimistic. It’s likely (according to legal kiwis).

For what? He’s not being charged with a felony.

or homeless under a Virginia overpass.
That could happen after he decides he doesn’t want to follow the rules of a group home.

There’s really only a few noteworthy instances of people claiming to be Jesus getting legal action against them because they did something batshit. The most notable instance I can think of before Chris where a guy claiming to be Jesus got in trouble, the ATF burned down a compound full of women and children.

Chris falls down a flight of stairs. Time briefly stops.

Cue "Teenage Wasteland."

Chris relives all of his best memories. Hanging out with his gal pals, building fuckin' Lego monstrosities, hanging out with Patty, writing the first Sonichu comic. Wholesome shit.

Camera pans out to find him bleeding out at the bottom of the stairs, song fades.

If Chris wasn't infamous for boning his mother, I would agree with you.

There's just too much bad juju and the potential for things to go really violent and even more tragic should Chris have to fend for himself with nowhere to go and either ignorant weens or himself getting hurt or God forbid innocent person.

Chris doesn't have a rock that he can crawl under if he becomes homeless, he's literally out in the open like a wild animal with no one to pat his head and give him free money to go to a pony convention he's banned from.

Holy fuck is that a roundabout way to say white or is he really negated of Hispanic ancestry? No racism intended

His earlier Sonichu comics are quite innocent until he hints at trannifying himself and more overt homophobia. Now he's a transbian but that's not the end.
Coined "boyfriend-free girl", drew #shecameforcwc as a "feminism", everyone mistakes it for incest with Crystal, gets mad, talk about transing, put Crystal on a bus (or some dark mirror), transed, kicked his past self in the balls because pussybootlicking, released Crystal to validate his wommonly womanness along with Sonichu, Rosechu and one other entity, Meg dumped him, he f**ked his mom, turned criminal and gets locked up in asylum forever and now is kicked around like a ball from asylum to asylum. Good god there's no news of Crystal, not enough reason why Megan left him after being a "gal pal", no more comic updates, not enough milk except extrapolations and predictions and watching him from outside jail.

An insanity defense for Chris would be difficult because it would involve proving his state of mind when the event occurred.

A much less difficult, but still doubtful outcome would be for him to be declared insane now (or later, after being deemed incompetent for up to 5 years). That would not absolve him of guilt for his crime, or prevent him from standing trial in the future, but would make him incapable of standing trial as long as the determination stayed in place.

That has very low chance of being tried and nearly zero chance of succeeding. Chris does not meet "not guilty by reason of insanity" in the slightest. You do not just get to commit a vile crime and then claim to be Jesus as a Get Out of Jail Free card. Brian David Mitchell tried more or less this and it dragged things out for years but he's still serving life.
That would not absolve him of guilt for his crime, or prevent him from standing trial in the future, but would make him incapable of standing trial as long as the determination stayed in place.
This kind of thing can be a negotiating tool too. Just the prospect of having to deal with Chris for the next five years might bring someone to the negotiating table.

The real problem with NGRI as a plea is the burden of proof is on the defendant. I think this is incorrect for a number of reasons, but whatever. It's an affirmative defense as currently applied, and more or less requires admitting to the facts of the crime, or at least the facts of some crime or lesser crime. If it wasn't a crime, you wouldn't need an insanity plea.

Chris's problem is the only real primary source for any evidence of (legally qualified) insanity would be his own testimony and expert mental testimony by people who have examined him or his records. Examining physicians with a history with the patient are generally given more credibility than single-purpose examiners or people who have simply reviewed the patient's records.

Despite that, they're still just relying on the presentation of the patient himself, so again we're back to Chris.

Meanwhile, there is substantial evidence from the time that Chris in fact was entirely aware what he was doing was illegal, he engaged in it in a ritual fashion every three days, showing premeditation and advance planning, it continued for a period of time, indicating ability to maintain a routine, and he lied about it to others, indicating he knew it was wrong and something to be concealed.

He literally even bought a book to improve his technique at committing his signature crime!

I don't see how an insanity defense can survive evidence of Chris's actual conduct at the time in question.
Not remotely true. Ricardo Weston Chandler is a true and honest hispanic.
His name was Carlos Chantor.
HIS NAME WAS CARLOS CHANTOR!

Part of me actually believes it will happen. That Chris will end up at the asylum forever. I'm not saying it will happen but part of me believes that that is a very good chance. It would be weird for us literally to never receive any more information on him. It would be fitting if you think about it that would be the perfect end to his story.
