Just because the media puts him in a pedestal doesn't we have to buy into it or against it. I agree that Zelensky has done and is doing retarded stuff that is counterproductive to how *we* barely literate Westerners perceive him, but it does seem to work on the hearts of the average American to an extent at least and one would assume that when you have your country being ass-raped having a seemingly "strong" leader committed to your defense helps for morale on the ground.
Of course Zelensky will use all the resources and "immoral" tricks he can because:
a) Ukraine is facing an existential treat if they lose the war bad enough,
b) He himself will likely be killed if the Russians have the chance.

TBF the Ukries have also been pushing their share of "lookit those evil Russians bombing schools and shopping malls! muh war crimes!" but yeah this is pretty much a nothingburger. Civilian buildings get appropriated for military use in times of war.

Unlike the burgers the Russians seem to be something of a moral if not God fearing people. This is why we must all support Russia in this conflict.
