Get a gander at that oil slick. The state of the Ropucha is unknown, and it didn't look to have rudder damage while running away. We did theorize that one was still loaded when the strike hit, so this could just be burning fuel and time until the port is clear enough to resume partial operations.
Yeah, it’s really unknown what that Ropucha is like, but if it’s having to burn fuel, they’re worried as hell.

Are you sure you are russian?
Absolutely. I have every right to be cynical (not gonna PL) but I find that the world can be more beautiful than what most make it out to be.
Genuine question: Why do people in western countries think they're the good guys?
I'm an American, and I don't see any of the wars we've started as good for the countries we've fought.
Are we really less corrupt than countries with dictators, solely because there's a different president every 4 to 8 years?
Do we really have an "open society" and "freedom" with a "liberal democracy"?
Cause in my neck of the woods it all seems to be pre-programmed by oligarchs just as much as any of the countries we are at odds with.

It's baffling to me that people criticize other countries for their corruption while ignoring their own. As if this is a "lesser of two evils" situation, and being "lesser evil" is a virtue.
Crazy times, as always.
From my experience no, the west is hardly "good" or truly free and is rife with ignorance and hubris, not to mention having a terrible track record in international affairs. And of course most of its people are pre-programmed to ignore their systems' faults while exaggerating their merits. But its people do overall live better lives than in RF or China and actually have their rights upheld to a reasonable extent. It may be taken for granted but it's wonderful to have even these little things in life. And that to me makes all the difference between the west and the emerging autocratic regimes.
Anything would be better than being stuck in an isolated pariah state that fucked us over for generations, though I have certain doubts about whether a regime change spearheaded by Russian people is even possible. Our entire history is that of learned helplesness.

Nevertheless, the goal is admirable. Thank you for indulging my curiosity.
No problems man. I hope you're doing well.

Aren't ICBM much larger, slower, visible to radar and worse maneuvering? Hypersonic missiles are specifically made to counter things like Aegis. I'm no weapons expert by any means.
ICBMs are much faster than hypersonic missiles

Hypersonic missiles are good against conventional long range radars because they fly low

Aegis system designed to detect missiles that fly low

Hypersonic supposed to be good against Aegis because the missiles slaved to Aegis allegedly get launched too late to be able to get in position to hit the hypersonic missile

But those missiles were designed to shoot down intermediate range ICBMs miles up, the PAC-3 is the trendy anti hypersonic interceptor missile atm

Being part of the American empire means you have to let homosexual crossdressers groom your kids, the Disney corporation has plenary authority to replace anything in your local culture that doesn't make it money, and your daughters need to be sterilized until age thirty. On the plus side, you won't be hungry.
"the Disney corporation has plenary authority to replace anything in your local culture that doesn't make it money"
Do they even care about making money? I think they are willing to waste money destroying stuff because it is funny to them. Sometimes their decisions seem to be deliberately designed to make the IPs they own unpopular and financially less viable.

How the actual FUCK do I beat gas prices. Its pushing $6 now down here, and that can easily add up to $75+. At least I dodged a bullet getting rejected by a job application that requires long distance travel looking for another job, but the price for simply filling up can sneak up and punch your face.
Weird, the ones in my area dropped down to 3.90 from 4. One thing that helps is to compare gas stations. Some increase the price as soon as its announced, where others only change prices when a new shipment of gas arrives.

What about the plasma messing with the radar and the maneuverability?

It’s a trick that’s been played on people for the last 400 or so years. Mass politics and political nationalism encourages people to identify with the state that rules over them. Before that, the European political and military order revolved around elites and the peasants were rarely involved in wars or politics, and mostly didn’t give a shit who ruled them as long as they weren’t taking too much of their crops.

The advent of liberalism and democracy didn’t represent some sort of devolution of power, it represented the greatest expansion and centralization of power in all of history. The modern liberal democratic apparatus is capable of controlling citizens in ways that no Roman Emperor could have dreamed of.
No that's because the Church owned absurd amounts of land and functioned as a second government in Medieval times, while in Roman times literally 1 in 3 people were slaves.

Fuck your blackpill.

Changing my opinion on what, I asked the question.
Why do westerners think that their side is better than their enemies, exclusively because of the words "Freedom" and "Democracy" being touted, when elections have been proven to be rigged many times, in many instances.
Oligarchy is the most popular form of government these days.
One can be an oligarch, have immense power, and still act like citizens votes matter. This is what we fight for over the exact same behavior in the east?
It's a big joke.
You implied that the West is not superior

I said I wished the West actually was a tyranny so you could learn the difference firsthand

You then tried to be clever by referencing the WEF and said tick tock, i.e., alluding to the future

Which would be a change from your implication that the West is not superior now, since apparently we must wait until the future to see the troof

Oligarchs lol, again, miss me with that shit until you move to an actual oligarchy and be edgy about it on the internet and see what happens

Should've invested in energy stocks as a hedge. That's what I did.

Hypersonic missiles are slightly maneuverable. They can't zig zag and shit. They're too fast for that. They can slightly change their trajectory which would be fine at beating older tracking computers but the shit they have today is pretty powerful

Plasma effects are more of an atmospheric reentry thing, on missiles that stay in the lower atmosphere the effect is negligible. The US and Russia have been dealing with the plasma problem re: communications and guidance systems for ICBMs and spacecraft for decades

"Felt-tip pens are over, now pencils will go"

Exclusive footage of the Russian Mi-28 "Night Hunter" and a bit of aviation slang. Pencils with felt-tip pens flew to military facilities in the Kharkiv region.
