>How many times has the goalposts of "winning" been moved on Russia's side?
lol not once. Random people speculating on the internet about timelines and ultimate political goals are not the same people making military and geopolitical decisions for Russia.
God, you actually just believe everything the Russian said, do you? You don't even think to question and think critically about the propaganda pieces, on both sides, huh?
Didn't Russia have a defense minister that tried to reform/modernize the whole thing, such as adding NCOs, but got removed before he could accomplish it?

lol calm down
There was, but he got removed since he began to threaten the "interest groups" businesses. The absolute state of Russian Military
I'm not trying to justify this whatsoever, you don't do that to prisoner. Unfortunately this is what happens in this kind of war. Much as I hate to say, I strongly suspect this would happen in the US if we were invaded. People defending their homelands get fucking vicious.
Yeah, and it's not like there's no precedents like this in history. Putin made the terrible mistake by making Ukrainian united in their hate against the Russian, even those who are leaning to Moscow

Well this thread was topkek.

There's videos of Chechen militants going cartel on Russian POWs that Putin and the state media then utilised to bolster support for "pacifying" Chechnya. If you speak of historical precedents there's a non-trivial chance that Russia might utilise such footage to excuse themselves to committing genocide in Ukraine.

Video posted to 4chan of our brave and noble Ukrainian allies shooting POWs in the knee while already in custody. First portion is all talking to wounded guys, skip to 2:30 if you want to see the shooting.
Torturing POWs, always a good sign that your side has the moral highground.

What propaganda? Russia has been basically silent throughout this entire war other than cringy speeches made by Putin which I'd argue are mainly aimed at western audiences given how he focuses on Azov rather than just outright calling Zelenskyy a US puppet. That aside, a lot of the shit Russia has actually said has turned out to be true, whereas basically nothing from the Ukrainian side has turned out to be true (e.g. Russian warship fuck off).

The guy filming says they're artilleryman who were firing on civilians. No sympathy for them.
Well I'm glad that was settled so quickly. I take every Ukrainian at their word and don't find it likely they would look for any excuse to torture Russian soldiers.

However, this does ironically mean that I believe Ukrainian soldiers have been preventing civilians from leaving the cities along the corridors prescribed by Russia, as there is footage of Ukrainians asking to leave and being told "no" as well as Ukrainians who did get out telling Russians the same. Due to Ukrainian integrity I find it implausible that the Ukrainian being questioned by a Russian soldier would have any bias or would lie.

no if that were the case then russia has already lost more vehicles than the rest of the world combined lel
im not trying to pull the "russians are comically incompetent" line, im trying to point out that russias tank and vehicle arsenal is insanely huge. no other military in europe could field even a fraction of what the russians rolled into ukraine with.
Neither can Russia. They're basically coasting off of the leftover surplus they retained after the collapse of their hegemony. Even if Russia wasn't insanely corrupt I doubt they could afford to maintain the entire arsenal of vehicles they have/had in storage.

Dude the Russians can stop invading and killing people and I am pretty sure the Ukrainians would stop capturing them and torturing them. Its like getting mad your opponent is hitting you after you hit them first in a fight. Like nigger you can just walk away if you want.
