Ukrainians can commit warcrimes and upload them to the internet because they're being invaded. Russians can't.
That said, separatists in the Donbas region are allowed to do the same because they got shelled by the Ukrainian military.

Crying about warcrimes or the rights of POWs is gay as fuck and getting rid of that mentality would help stop alot of wars. Either do total war or fuck off, especially when you publically call your opponents subhuman. Either genocide them or don't go to war to begin with. Don't cry when your soldiers get tortured. Long story short some SS troops executed a bunch of US troops that had surrendered. Guess what happens after we found out? Bingo, SS troops started getting summarily executed by US troops. They'd still accept the surrender of regular German army troops though. See why you don't start this dumb shit yet? Reprisals are a cast iron bitch.

Modern military doctrine embraces the idea its better to win without having to fire a shot. Part of what made the US invasion of Iraq so successful was the Iraqi soldiers knew all they had to do to survive was throw down their guns and hand themselves over to the nearest US unit. After that instead of bombs being dropped on his head he'll get 3 meals a day and free Healthcare. The food will probably be better too.

Threats of no quarter and POW brutality is a waste of resources. Why expend ammunition and bodies in a dick waving contest.
