I'm somewhat disappoint that they didn't show the panel with the Giant Drinking Straw of Fail while discussing the early Sonichu comics. Easily the funniest perspective fuckup in all of Chris' comics.

I just watched the second episode. I don't know how long I'll have patience for this. There's almost no intact footage from Chris's classic videos. It's all covered by voice over, either by the kid who made the show playing Mr Narrator, or that bad impression. When it's just a description, like "Chris did this and then the trolls did that...", it isn't funny. The humor is all in Chris's performances in his videos, not the situations. This is a common trap with people making videos about Chris. They don't just let Chris be Chris, they feel the need to package him. An hour was a very long time to sit through this.

I think it's a matter of the Internet becoming more mainstream and Chris being more known.

A lot of the normies who just recently learned of Chris due to him trending on twitter would view the clips that many of us laughed our asses off watching as macabre freakshow humor. Which is something the Internet and society has largely moved past.

So someone making a documentary would have to walk a fine line, telling the story of Chris in a funny way without making it seem like the maker is mocking an autistic and mentally challenged individual

The mundane is now the macabre freakshow that we used to find humorous. If anything the old Chris videos wouldn't be viewed at as immature or childish with disdain, it would be viewed as something boring and time consuming. Seeing a tranny tear up a gamestop over being called sir, is far more attention grabbing than 90% of Chris' videos.

If you watch the videos where he's trying to flog the cards, he sets up a ship between (I think) Roberta and his own dad. Sexual boundaries to Chris mean nothing, it seems.

Yeah, there's a sweet spot between the extremes of the Geno style of literally showing every moment of everything and the GFM style of show almost nothing.

His tendency to pronounce Sonichu "Sonic-chu" irritates me more than it probably should.

You know, when you're maybe seven or eight years old, Sonichu is a cute little character you came up with when you first started coming up with your own stories to roleplay.

As a teenager, it's an OC you can insert into a fanfic that will never be Canon.

When you're an adult, it just means you've never come up with one original idea in your entire life.

I kinda wish someone would make an actual competent documentary about Chris. As in someone who had some idea of pacing and editing, even a film student or something. Knudsen's is probably the closest to that, but it's still just Some Guy's YouTube Video that's structured the same way as another one about the history of Mario speed runs or some shit. Geno's is OK, and there's at least an original score, but no one is dedicating 60 hours to it, and once again it just feels like YouTube. Someone with an actual budget and actual filmmaking skill could make something along the lines of Wild Wild Country and such.

This video is moreor less justa summary of shit off the wiki watered down and stretched for ad rev but it fucking irritates my ass how the narrator guy keeps pronouncing sonichu as "sonic choo" despite literally all audio of chris having it pronounced like "sawnichu" and it being a univerally understood fact for basically sonichu's whole existence.

Okay after doing some digging I think I found her store front. I remember she used to have a lot more items but I believe this is her store or at least one of them I have a friend who does etsy and it's not uncommon for them to have multiple store fronts for multiple types of products that way things don't get confusing if somebody wishes to purchase something. Like my friend does paintings but also does stickers and you can't really have professional style paintings next to stickers that say I eat ass on a storefront so he has multiple store fronts on Etsy. I imagine she's doing the same thing because I really do remember her having a lot bigger variety.

She had a shop on Facebook at one point, not sure if she still does. Screenshots from a while back, from Geno's videos. They're cute. It looks like they're made of felt.

I don't know it wasn't really entertaining or anything but I think some effort was put into it.

Mostly disappointed we didn't see Megan and her big ass guns in it.

Haven't watched the second part yet, but so far, it's alright. I think Geno's documentary is better, but I'm not going to complain. I basically feel at this point beggars can't be choosers, and I'm just happy to get some new material even if it's not terribly exciting.

i enjoyed the second part a lot less than the first, so probably won't be tuning in for the rest unless there's any new megan footage. i'm not really interested in watching chris play a faggy card game about ponies tbqh, so if that's the majority of the new footage then i'll quite happily pass. if turns out that there's more substantial new footage in it by the time all six parts are out, then i guess i'll watch the rest of it

the issue with this documentary is that it's just GFM narrating what happened to Chris for the most part with very little footage in between. this was fine in the first part because a lot of pre-internet chris doesn't have footage to go along with it, so, GFM narration and cringe Chris impersonation worked well enough. now that they're firmly within the early YouTube era (arguably where Chris was funniest) both GFM and boogie should've backed the fuck off and let Chris do the talking.

someone pointed out that it's because it's a more normie documentary and i guess while that's true i don't really think that means that the clips should be neutered. the first few parts of geno samuel's documentary have a couple million views each and in my opinion at no point do they come across like they're mocking an autistic person, they simply display chris how he is by showing his videos almost wholesale. it lacks bias - it is just a presentation of him how he presented himself. meanwhile, boogie doing some retarded nasally voice while GFM does a hero's tale narration comes across as mockery to me. not that i care about chris being mocked, mind - but, in tone, GFMs documentary has more of a freak show angle than geno's does, so their point is moot imo

the chris style drawings peppered throughout it to aid with the narration are nice, though. i think that's about the most positive thing i can say about the documentary's presentation
