It's not about him being right, or wrong in this situation (though, it all comes down to a penchant for one's opinion anyways) It's just that this community of hate followers have made up their mind a long time ago when it comes to Phil.

A preconception that will never set motion towards the brink of collapse; which perfectly summarizes the people on this forum - that have way too much time on their hand to perpetually (unjustifiably and nit-picky for the most part) scold people who are for once trying to at least act like decent human being.

They can keep on with the whole cult nonsense that supposedly surrounds Phil's streams, but we know which group has the biggest cult following of them all.

If the question is size then yes, there are more people who hate Phil than like him. There is no question there. Your assessment isn't entirely wrong, but it's far from correct. Yes, some people don't care if Phil is right, they are angry no matter what he says. I don't think the majority of his detractors think this way. Most people I have seen are just wondering if he's going to do a victory lap ala the projared tweet.

Well, I agree with you at some degree here. Yes, it's his opinion and should be respected even if you disagree with him (which is my case, for example). Now, why do you think he rushed to tweet about it? Do you really think he gives a shit about that situation?

I think it's not even about the opinion itself, but the clout chasing aspect of it. Of course, hating on him because of it is unecessary.

Anyway, comparing this place to Phil's community is dumb. You're still allowed to post in here, even though everyone knows who you are, while Phil's chat is so over-moderated that you can be banned by typing "gout".

But keep in mind that unlike his Jared tweet, this one wasn't posted inside the gaming sphere.
I doubt much people who liked or saw his tweet will jump to his gaming streams.
As someone else mentioned here, it's all about that dopamine rush from getting those juicy likes.

  1. He didn't even watch the Oscars; probably just saw everyone else Tweet about it and responded, because that's the only way DSP can interact with the world and know its happenings. He's just an absolute clout chaser, and he's probably beating off to all those likes and retweets. CloutsydePhil

  2. Someone who threatened an 11 year old with violence refuses to condone with "violence in retaliation". He's also made similar threats to people in the past for far less than making fun of his loved ones. Phil continues to be a total hypocrite.

  4. The fact that he continued his clout chasing the minute he woke up really does prove that Phil is just another social media drone. Could have just said his piece and left it at that, but no, he's gotta get that dopamine fix. Likes and Retweets mean nothing in the real world, Phil. They're social digital currency that you can't trade and has nothing of value. Likes and retweets only matter to attention whores, so I guess that's right up your alley Dave.
I'd love to see how people change their tone about his super awesome and popular hot take when they find out that he masturbated on live stream, put his ex-fiance's medical history on blast, and tweeted "Happy D-Day".
