YouTubers you hate that everyone else likes

Lowkey reminds me of GrayStillPlays though the click-baiting also extends to his thumbnails, which are obnoxious, to say the least.

There's another one for the bucket of Tubes I dislike.
LOL. GrayStillPlays was one of the channels I was specifically thinking of with my example.

A long time ago, he used to have some interesting content and showcased some up-and-coming indie games.

But these days he's figured out how to 100% exploit the algorithms via clickbait titles and fake thumbnails. His channel is now a pretty even split of nothing but Happy Wheels nonsense, GTA V obstacle courses, and shitty mobile games.

Well... of all the fates to befall a member of the extended Van0ss crew, W1ldcat got off pretty easy compared to everyone else.
Surprised no one mentions Vanoss. Being a popular youtuber is one thing, being a Canuck is another, and being repetitive is even worse.

It really is a shame how many Youtubers of his style fall for this. Maybe its burn out, maybe they are making bank but I don't see how this kind of content mill isn't worse for oneself.

I can't really blame him when it's apparently working. His quality took a nosedive, but the views are up and it's a steady content stream that the algorithm loves.

Low-effort content for a ton of views means that you only have to spend a few days mass-recording stuff and then a few days editing it into 15-20 minute videos.

Then just upload a video every day or two for the rest of the month. And just like that, you've managed to get a chunk of income for less than a week of work.

This implies he doesn't just record shit then hire an editor of even a team of cheap editors to emulate what he used to do. Now it's probably less than 10 hours of work a week.

In his early uploads he would just make a vid about some food from media and leave it at that. Once he got real popular and moved to Brooklyn he started to ramp up him rambling, talking to himself and showing his gf and staff along with random nonsense that has nothing to do with food. People basically dislike that he inserts his life into his content and extends them by talking to himself or showing his face rather than just cooking and doing a voice over talking about the dish.
Only tangentially related, but this is kind of something that annoys me about the channel Boundary Break. I tune in to see weird stuff found hidden in games, not to see the channel owner talking into the camera like he thinks he's a personality/host. He wastes time and money on animated video intros, hires known voice actors and shit, then does videos complaining about how hard it is to run the channel. Hell, half the time the "secrets" he finds are just preloaded models T-posed outside level geometry, wow. Also, his online persona has an annoying name, "Shesez," ugh.

It's not really a bad channel, but those things annoy me about it.

On a somewhat similar vein, I hate it when a channel has a series that is really popular and got them their internet fame. Then they branch out into a bunch of other series no one cares about and then the creators whine about the workload. Like just stop making shit no one cares about if you don't want to be overworked. TeamFourStar is a good example of this.

Asprey, who used to make decent Pokemon related videos, is now a streamer for an audience of dozens and takes about 50 breaks a month due to "overload" nigga you played Touhou for two hours.

Guys like Danny Gonzalez and Drew Gooden, I don't hate them but their popularity is kind of baffling. Their content is extremely safe and bland, usually whining about wacky products or bad hallmark movies, and their faces are prominently featured in 99% of their video thumbnails (I guess this is an algorithm thing but it's still super annoying). I've occasionally watched them with my gf and nearly every time, I realize after the video has ended that nothing of substance was uttered for its entire duration. Even as background noise while working I'd rather listen to music or something. Does anyone here like "content creators" like this?

I am starting to get an influx of Twitch Streamer content likely due to the already abundance of V-Tuber content I get recommended. I have been seeing clips of Emiru, JSchlatt, Minx, Alinity, Jaiden Animations, Emma Langevine, etc.. Basically, this huge group of cohorts on Twitch.

The content makes me feel old as I just watch it and wonder who half these people are and it is not that entertaining. I know like half the people in these clips, which then just makes things more bizzare. Wasn’t Alinity an animal abuser who the internet hated? When did she get with the funny people squad? I remember Emma from TikTok and am honestly surprised she is still active in a significant way as her popularity always seemed like a fad. Also, how the hell does Jaiden fit into all this?

Maybe I am officially a boomer, but I have no idea why this Twitch content is big or who many of these individuals are.

You get too old for the mainstream internet the minute you graduate from highschool.

I think I was by high school. I never really was big on mainstream internet, but post-2016 I was completely out of the loop. I think the Leafy, Keemstar, GradeA drama was really the last bout of old YT.

Does this faggot actually know what xenophobia even means? Or did those degenerates already replaced that pre-existing term into what those kids think nowadays.
Don Stever just wants tranny dick like everyone else. That's all.

Because of the recent news, I'd have to say Jaiden. I've always felt that she was a boring OddOnesOut copycat, and never got why she rised to fame. Plus with that boring and 15 minute long coming out video (just barely longer than the video talking about her legit mental illness), I'm just not excited.
Jaiden used to be fine. Story-Time Animations were still relatively new when she hit the scene, so she got in at a good time. The scene was mainly just TheOddOnesOut and Swoozy if I recall.

She is inoffensive content that got popular with kids most likely. She is also friends with James which boosted her.

Though, we all know the real reason she is so popular.....ahem...Rule 34...ahem...

I have a love-hate relation with LTT. A lot of their vids now of days are just Linus showing up expensive shit. Like Linus' new home and what he's doing to it. Yesterday was them showing off a $1 million server they got help to make with sponsers. He's pro race mixing (whatever) and anti ad-blocker (using it is not equal to piracy Linus WTF). Those really don't show up in his main channel vids. Maybe they do on his podcast or his other channels. Anthony gets a lot of coverage. He's charismatic sure, but he can't take criticism to save his life and you can see that on his twitter feed. I do like their product reviews and they do put out some interesting content here and there.
