Surprised no one mentions Vanoss. Being a popular youtuber is one thing, being a Canuck is another, and being repetitive is even worse.
It really is a shame how many Youtubers of his style fall for this. Maybe its burn out, maybe they are making bank but I don't see how this kind of content mill isn't worse for oneself.
I can't really blame him when it's apparently working. His quality took a nosedive, but the views are up and it's a steady content stream that the algorithm loves.
This implies he doesn't just record shit then hire an editor of even a team of cheap editors to emulate what he used to do. Now it's probably less than 10 hours of work a week.
Only tangentially related, but this is kind of something that annoys me about the channel Boundary Break. I tune in to see weird stuff found hidden in games, not to see the channel owner talking into the camera like he thinks he's a personality/host. He wastes time and money on animated video intros, hires known voice actors and shit, then does videos complaining about how hard it is to run the channel. Hell, half the time the "secrets" he finds are just preloaded models T-posed outside level geometry, wow. Also, his online persona has an annoying name, "Shesez," ugh.
On a somewhat similar vein, I hate it when a channel has a series that is really popular and got them their internet fame. Then they branch out into a bunch of other series no one cares about and then the creators whine about the workload. Like just stop making shit no one cares about if you don't want to be overworked. TeamFourStar is a good example of this.
Asprey, who used to make decent Pokemon related videos, is now a streamer for an audience of dozens and takes about 50 breaks a month due to "overload" nigga you played Touhou for two hours.

I think I was by high school. I never really was big on mainstream internet, but post-2016 I was completely out of the loop. I think the Leafy, Keemstar, GradeA drama was really the last bout of old YT.
Jaiden used to be fine. Story-Time Animations were still relatively new when she hit the scene, so she got in at a good time. The scene was mainly just TheOddOnesOut and Swoozy if I recall.
