UNIAN is a glow op news organization founded in Ukraine in 2014 during the Maidan protests. I would take this news with massive grains of salt.
Even if not true. Can you imagine what this story circulating will do to the already grim morale of the Russian Army on the ground? We may or may not believe it... but the Russian Soldiers, who are used to this kind of shit rolling their way? Oh yeah will they believe it. Because this sort of shit happens in former Soviet Lands.

For example
So yeah this will be all too believable to the troops.

You actually think things are going well for the Ukrainians? A quarter of their country is occupied and their entire military is pinned down. Is this what victory looks like to you?
We should look at things from the standpoint of the planned Russian strategy of a quick decapitation strike. The Russians planned to fight the last war. Didn't succeed. Not only that, but the Russians threw away many of their supposedly best troops, the VDV, in very poorly-planned operations. The war turned into a grind Russia wasn't prepared for and has been very costly in terms of Russian lives, especially generals and colonels.

The Russians wanted Kyiv and Zelensky's head on a plate. Hasn't happened, most unlikely to happen now. The Ukes seem to roam freely with AT weapons and MANPADS, hardly the actions of a military that's "pinned down". The Russians seem somewhat pinned down themselves, having gone in some areas for extended periods with little or no movement, such as the vaunted "40-mile convoy" in the direction of Kyiv.

The Russians say they are redirecting forces away from Kyiv. That was their main target, containing their prey Zelensky. Hardly the actions of a victorious army. Kharkiv hasn't been taken, last I heard. Yet Kharkiv was another primary Russian objective. And the Ukes have done some damage inside Russia themselves.

Putin wanted a quick, absolute victory. Not getting it. There will be some sort of settlement. Ukraine gets stronger with the NATO supplies and support. The Ukrainian people keep fighting. If Putin was smart he'd declare victory and leave everywhere but, say, the Crimea, something his forces could hold.

Posted all you want the United States who has better planes tanks and ships in the Russian army

Yeah, but the workers at the plant told their handlers at the IAEA that the idiot Russians were romping around the red forest like imbeciles a few days ago.

We've won an awful lot of battles, though. Tactically, we're unmatched.

Yes I like the simple formulation that Russia suffers tactical defeats on the way to strategic victory while the US wins tactical victories on the way to strategic defeat. I think the key difference being that the Russian leadership is serious and the American leadership is suffused and subverted by a clique of neolibs/neocons whose ideology does not match reality.

None of this is current war related:

looking down the barrel of Trump 2024.
This is my new favorite thing to say.
Not just militarily, in terms of media coverage America has done a full 180 and decided that the next hysteria sensation issssssssss...........

Covid.
Again.
As in there's 0% top news about Ukraine anymore, the ukraine war ticker has been replace with the covid shit again, etc. etc.
The top billing being about how we can't afford Vaccines.
Because being put in lockdown because we're too poor is apparently a good look in terms of media coverage.
Have not yet seen/heard this in my neck of the woods (and the hysteria here was pretty bad - school still masking kids). Seriously?
Every one I've had has been shit, but that's not why I say not to buy them. They have scummy fucking business practices. First thing they did when covid hit was force every single employee to take a 5 to 30% pay cut. Plus their corporate policy is the epitome of globohomo.
I always preferred Gateway, but then my geeky ex told me to buy HP. What is the current recommend?

Yeah, but the workers at the plant told their handlers at the IAEA that the idiot Russians were romping around the red forest like imbeciles a few days ago.

This is the source (Archive) of that story, below is what the plant workers actually said:
"A big convoy of military vehicles drove along a road right behind our facility and this road goes past the Red Forest," said one of the sources.

"The convoy kicked up a big column of dust. Many radiation safety sensors showed exceeded levels," he said.

Valery Seida, acting general director of the Chernobyl plant, was not there at the time and did not witness the Russian convoy going into the Red Forest, but he said he was told by witnesses that Russian military vehicles drove everywhere around the exclusion zone and could have passed the Red Forest.
There were vehicles, there was dust, they may have driven past the Red Forest. How does that turn into they were digging trenches and snorting lines of radioactive dust and whatever other nonsense that's now being reported.

Last I checked the area had a population of around 500 mostly old ladies who refuse to leave their lifelong homes. They farm and eat the live stock there.
That doesn't mean it's safe. It just means if you're 80 years old or some shit and you've been living there forever and you survived Chernobyl and everything since, and you're still there, if someone suggests you leave because you have a 190% higher chance of getting ass cancer or something, they're just going to laugh at you.

Idiot! As if I'm going to live forever anyway!

America hasn't fought a successful war in decades.
Actually America has generally won almost every war, police action or military engagement they have attempted. It's the what comes after that we generally fuck up wildly until we finally grow bored and go home. I will give the Viet Cong credit for their accomplishments. Both Against the American's and later against the Chinese. Key takeaway, don't fuck with the Vietnamese on their home turf.
