here's cool footage of a Russian convoy in Belarus with some chad music behind it (link)
I see 3 trucks and 3 AFVs under tow, another 2 AFVs turned around backwards preparing to be towed, a couple trucks close enough together to hookup a towbar, a fuel tanker with a tarp trying to hide the tank, and engineering trucks. That's not a convoy, that's a bunch of broke down shit.

As a huge nerd to everything space related, what the hell does nasa and other russian space agencies have to do with this shit show? This just seems beyond unnecessary for me. All they want to do is launch rockets and stare at stars man,
Small sperg over that, it makes me so fuckign angry these cocksuckers are wiping their ass on what, 30 years of workign with the russians on ISS? That was such a step forward to understanding and working with others for a noble cause. Makes me furious the current administration feels like they can just shit on that.

This from the BBC just a little bit ago - the Ukrainians are neither confirming nor denying responsibility for the attack in Belgorod. Kinda weird, if it was them I would expect them to claim it as it is a good morale building piece of propaganda, at the same time a big part of anti-Russian propaganda has been CIA FUD about how the Russians are completely demoralized and killing their own officers and shooting down their own planes, so the Ukes could be engaging in some of that. I highly doubt it was a Russian false flag, I don't think they need any justification to pull out of the largely performative peace talks, and if they did I would think they would hit something of lesser value than ammo and oil depots.
I would suspect that Ukraine doesn't want to admit it was them yet simply to keep the Russian's confused and guessing as to how they pulled it off. Odds are decent that if it's Ukraine helicopters that blew up the oil depot, it was probably Ukraine helicopters that blew up the ammo depot a couple days prior. Ukraine might be hoping to confuse efforts to find and fix the security hole that let them pull it off, at least for long enough to pull it off another time or two. Especially if the "fix" is simply to figure out which unit pulled it off and bomb them specifically.

An alternative possibility is that they want plausible deniability. If they boast about the attacks in Russia and Putin spins that into propaganda that lets him admit that this is a war and get authorization to deploy conscripts, that'd be bad for Ukraine. Or if for some reason there was an international backlash for sending raids into Russia, they could say that some local commander had exceeded his authority, claim he'd been disciplined, and that it wouldn't happen again.
As I've said before, like clockwork, Russian missile strikes continue daily(rather nightly to preserve civilian population, I guess?)
Are the missiles surfaced based cruise missiles, or are they launched from planes? If it's bombers launching the missiles, it's probably at night because people figured out during WWII that daytime bombing really sucked for bombers. For example if Ukraine had attempted their helicopter raids in daylight, they'd almost certainly have been spotted before launching their attacks, instead of apparently managing to pull off the first one completely undetected. So bombers operating at night is still pretty desirable.

So the Ukrainians are recapturing territory and finding dead russians that have been laying there for weeks and have started to decompose.

Seems like the rumors that Russia's been unable to evacuate its dead have some truth to them. Somewhat logical given the amount of logistical issues they've had and the contested control of the territory. Still pretty horrifying to see.

Burgers cancell an ICBM test again, not fully though, they'll do them again sometime later this year.
U.S. cancels ICBM test due to Russia nuclear tensions

I see it as a way to try and not elevate russia's nuclear paranoia, which in a way, it's good, but you can also argue that the USA, the largest military power in the word is chickening, that is another way to see it.

On the upside, should make it easier to get a number on Russian fatalities.

It's actually pretty standard, both the us and the soviets would do the same at times during the cold war.

There's no point to annexing Canada, the USA already took the only part that mattered, Alaska
Not quite. Thanks to the United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Sea and global warming, Canada has one of the strongest claims to resources in the artic circle which are increasingly becoming easier to access. The order goes something like Russia, Canada, Denmark(Greenland), United States(Alaska), and Norway(Svalbard). Geography, the language of the UNCLOS treaty, and the US having not ratified it makes Alaska not that good for claiming resources up there. Annexing Canada would greatly strengthen it's claim. Annex Greenland, and Svalbard as well, and the competition over the arctic circle becomes just the US and Russia.
