I always bring up how Star Trek is this utopia that nerds love, but in the very first episode of TNG written by Gene and D.C. Fontana, the plot is centered around Q bringing up how flawed and warlike humans are. That it took Eugenics wars and huge catastrophes to get to the Federation. Humans didn't see the future coming and prevent evil, destruction, and violence. They had to walk through that fire to know it burnt. It's a great point in my opinion. A lot of what Gene seems to have thought about involved humans advancing out of the present set of circumstances to some kind of utopia, but I think even he had a hard time believing that such a thing would happen out of pure good will. Bob's entire agenda of "kill them, so we can have utopia" is evil. He would not be allowed in the world he wants to create. So I was watching a video on YouTube about the Fermi Paradox, and on the topic of the "great filter", one of the greatest contestant for what it might be is large-scale, technologically advanced warfare. Perhaps every sentient lifeform that develops intelligence at the scale of humanity are highly likely to eventually wipe itself out, thus rendering the cosmos cold and silent. Rather than colonizing other planets, intelligent lifeforms are more susceptible towards the tempation of wiping its own species out with nukes, in the name of protecting their worlds from their respective versions of the mayonnaise ghouls. If the great filter does not consist of natural catastrophes on a cataclysmic scale, it could very well come in the form of ourselves.
For all of Robert's constant sperging about the necessities of reaching for the stars, in his incessant quest for moon wheat and a robot body that he's totally earned, his rancid personality that calls for the extermination of large swaths of other people on the daily is a poignant example of everything about our species that keeps us from advancing and exploring the mysteries of our universe. Him being little more than a creature of spite is demonstrative of everything that regresses us as a species, keeping us from fulfilling our potential. Robert's purported ambitions in the name of science and discovery, contrasted with his ever disgusting conduct, is irony at its finest.
THIS^^^Is this fat retard actually surprised that people who do something for a living don't have time to be massive faggots studying every inch of said thing? Breaking news the guy who made Pokemon doesn't know the pokedex order or the amount of cards that were released, and no writer at DC can explain all the alternate Earths off head. It's almost like they're working and not being faggots lmao
let me tell you about this guy named Tolkien. You may have heard of him...THIS^^^
When you work for company like Disney, you’re not spending your time world-building or explaining every single detail about your franchise. You’re constantly working to get your paycheck.
If you want to create a autistic fantasy world like CWC-Ville and sperg about it then you do that on your time. Although, you’re probably going to get laughed at.
Okay, yeah, Tolkien’s an exception but he’s one of the rare few.let me tell you about this guy named Tolkien. You may have heard of him...
Yes I know he's pretty unique
To be fair to Tolkien, despite all the work and crazy world building he did, he had the self restraint to not vomit it all over the LotR and the Hobbit. Those were stories that alluded to the grand world he'd created, but had a tight focus.let me tell you about this guy named Tolkien. You may have heard of him...

Unlike many, many spergs Tolkien had a prestigious day job as a professor at Oxford. To be fair to Tolkien, despite all the work and crazy world building he did, he had the self restraint to not vomit it all over the LotR and the Hobbit. Those were stories that alluded to the grand world he'd created, but had a tight focus.
If the Dredd remake could make the titular character seem human even with the helmet on, then Halo could have done it as well. No excuses.Everyone who guessed that Halo would suck, feel free to claim your No Prize.
Also, I knew Master Chief wouldn't keep his helmet on, but I'd never have guessed he'd have taken it off in the first episode when a hostile was pointing a rifle directly at him.
He's just an arrogant son of a bitch when all is said and done. He thinks himself to above the average intellect, therefore his purely surface level knowledge of film is somehow leaps and bounds above those who dedicate their lives to its study. Blob has no humility or sense that there are those who are far, far better than him in his chosen profession. While I don't have any complaints about you guys dunking on Bob's degree which was only a minor in film studies at his tiny former women's college for whatever that's worth two decades later, I'd like to point out that Bob has literally endless time to actually study film (or the film industry) now either out of personal interest or as part of his "job" and he doesn't. His "study of film" consists of watching popular movies and following some film industry or film adjacent Twitter accounts and maybe sometimes not reading Wikipedia intro paragraphs correctly.
Hell, the average person getting an actual undergraduate degree in film studies at any university probably accidentally learns more about film, even if half of it is literal gibberish of a nonsense critical perspective, than Bob has deliberately chosen to learn about in his 40+ years on Earth.
It's funny how the films fell into the same pit that made the comics impossible for most to get into.Probably do, but these guys buy into almost any marketing and the hype that follows. These movies are literally made for people like Bob to watch and be amazed at the hollow storytelling, the special effects and the amazingly convenient plot hooks that tie into other movies: This is actually a double edged sword, as it both creates a cult following from the Blob and his ilk and cripples the appeal of these movies with the constant scenes that the viewer won't understand without watching the hundreds of hours of the film from the same cinematic universe. Powerleveling a bit, I fucking hate these movies precisely because of this, they aren't self contained and it kills the appeal if you didn't follow the metric fuckload of film they released recently. Not even getting into the myriad of shit I could be criticizing, just that makes them an annoyance to watch by itself!
I honestly would love to have half of the confidence Bob has when he says something incredibly wrong that could have been corrected with some light research. It's awe inspiring how sure of himself he is when he's wrong about literally everything."Meet Robert Chipman. A man with opinions on everything, but expertise on nothing."
Henry Darger was also an exception. Although he mostly kept to himself and worked an obscure job. If he'd had the internet, he might have become a lolcow like Chris chan, but he seemed the type of autistic person who rarely socialized with others. Given his early history of being abused, it's understandable.Okay, yeah, Tolkien’s an exception but he’s one of the rare few.

And it's worth remembering, Tolkien developed that over decades, while working his day job as a respected professor at a prestigious university back at a time when that meant something.Okay, yeah, Tolkien’s an exception but he’s one of the rare few.
I cannot choose by myself. I can only recognize some type of idiocy but other types just slip off my back. To completely analyze this remarkable individual requires the collective knowledge base of this thread. That's my point - how can you chose between his usual spiel and his most retarded takes?
It's so simple when you don't have to actually be face to face with anyone or suffer any consequences for your statements. Being wrong on the Internet does not have many shortcomings if you can just block your detractors, delete the offending statements, or just disregard the basic humanity of those who disagree with you. I'd be surprised if his alcohol consumption didn't help with this trait as well.I honestly would love to have half of the confidence Bob has when he says something incredibly wrong that could have been corrected with some light research. It's awe inspiring how sure of himself he is when he's wrong about literally everything.
Boy did he send THAT insult to the wrong fella. Nerdrotic is MARRIED. That reply chain to Nerdrotic there is pure crayon-eating exceptionalism. If Bob expects Nerdrotic to be angered or insulted by that, he's got another thing coming, lol.Positron said:
slasher-stoner comedy? With at least one troon no less. Chris isn't made of money, so why is he a Producer? Or is he just hoping this'll open the floodgates of Licenses To Print Money because Support Muh LGBT+- Troon Aktur and he'll be rolling in dough?Chris longs for a private event with his Angel.
