The lenses will provide some physical protection for her eyes, too. Lots of people who are blind in one eye wear glasses to keep the "good" eye from getting damaged in a freak accident.
In elementary school there was a blind girl (only blind kid in the whole district I think, actually, was a very small district), but she wore glasses. Many a curious kid would ask why (since she was indeed 100% blind), and while our regular teachers would snap that it's none of our business, her teacher would patiently explain (for the millionth time) that they were just to protect her eyes. Even if your eyes are already useless you still want to avoid unnecessary pain and suffering.

Edit: is the doula cult thread worthy? I know the crunchy parents one didn't really go anywhere.
I’ve been keeping an eye on the doula community for reasons i won’t PL about and imho yes, some seem to be really deranged and thread worthy.
There are a lot of niches in that group: some dedicated to black mothers, others to “sexual birth”. It’s pretty unsettling and horror stories aren’t exactly a rarity.

Slight ot but once I saw a crazy-ass bright hot pink car with a "wrap" on it, massive neon letters and slogans and hearts all over it, advertising the doula who presumably drove it. All I could think was, jeez, what if a baby and/or mom died? What if you deliver a baby and it dies, the mom bleeds out, or even nobody dies but baby has to go to ICU, whatever? Isn't your dumb ass going to look ridiculous driving away from the devastated family in your neon DEBBIE THE DOULA barbie mobile? How can anyone take you seriously if you clearly don't take yourself or birth seriously?

That is such a good point. What lunacy to treat something so serious as birth as a joke like that.

I wouldnt hire a lawyer/accountant/tutor/tax specialist driving around in a neon wraped car. Birth is certainly much more important than any of those.

Okay, I looked it up and lol because Robyn is such the ace nutritionist.
Starbuck's Caramel Syrup (30 ml or 2 Tbsp.) is 90 calories and 22 grams of sugar. 22 grams of sugar is 4 3/4 teaspoons of sugar.
IMHO that picture is misleading, it would make me think of 22 teaspoons of sugar.
Label says...
Granted, I wouldn't want nearly 5 teaspoons of sugar in my coffee, but I also wouldn't dump 2 whole tablespoons of syrup in my coffee either. I agree with the person that said Robyn probably doesn't know caramel is made from browned/toasted sugar.

She really is nasty. Keep your milkers porn on onlyfans Robyn. Wholesome mamas don’t want to see you making eye contact with your floppers hanging out randomly. Get a grip woman. It’s obvious you & Glenn (rip) are into freaky shit but keep that off Luna’s page. Act civilized even if you aren’t.
Im trying to eat dinner and not choke over flippers and milkers 😂😂

There are some amazing doulas out there and I absolutely see how having one in a hospital setting would be a nice tool. However, that community is getting toxic ass hell.

I came across this on instagram and now doulas are acting like pumping instead of direct feeding is bad. As if breastfeeding isn’t stressful enough when it’s not working, let’s behave like a pumping mother isn’t doing a good enough job.

But you GUYS, it's 22 huge packets of sugar in a serving IN AN ENTIRE LITTLE BOTTLE how can it, like, not be a lot?

Honestly she might have better luck pretending a clip from Teletubbies is how you make chicken nuggets.

Imagine an empathic nutritionist realizing that reading nutrition labels can give you actual nutritional information about the product, including the amount, in grams, of each ingredient in the product.
And the empathic nutritionist realizes that a sweet Starbucks beverage actually contains a large amount of sugar, measured in grams, as shown right on the product’s nutrition label! It’s wacky!
So the empathic nutritionist borrows someone else’s Infograph to flex for her inexplicable 99,999 followers who must be as stupid as she is, and don’t understand the concept of sugary beverages.
That’s enough work for the day, take the rest of the day off Robyn.

Wow, so sugar syrup contains sugar.

Exclusively pumping is a ton more work than breastfeeding.
I know milk adapts to the baby when breastfeeding, but I'm not sure how that works with exclusive pumping... Fuck it, though, most exclusive pumpers aren't doing it because it's easier, it's because their kids are medically fragile and/or NICU babies with immature digestive systems.

Agreed, exclusively pumping is a ton of work. It’s harder to empty your breasts like direct nursing, harder to keep your supply up and you are spending double the time you would be due to the fact you have to pump and then feed the baby. A lot of women give up because it’s so much work.

I am so fucking over women being shamed for how they choose to milk-feed their infants. Your fellow mothers deserve and need your support and your fellowship, not your fucking sneering and purity policing. It’s counsels of perfection like that that make people feel inadequate and like they will never be “good enough“ mothers.

We are all out here doing the best we can, pretty much. Have some grace for other women.

It still adapts to your baby. The changes in milk actaully occur via pheromones. Kiss your baby on the lips, nuzzle it face to face, hold it close to you, do daily skin to skin. The milk will visually change depending on what the baby needs.

Not sure how to multi quote but to answer @CaseyTatumm you hit the nail on the head. Most women who pump spend so much time and effort. At LEAST 30 minutes per pump sessions every 2 to 3 hours (including sleeping hours) and once your done pumping, thats another 10 minutes spent prepping bottles, washing parts, and sterilization on the pump. Your easily working an additional 6 hours a day stuck on a pump.

Can we change the subject about pumping-vs-breastfeeding because I’m about to get emotional lol I’m sure all the moms have stories we’re holding back.
(Also how dare anyone judge when they have no idea how someone ended up pumping/bottle feeding, that’s how you end up with crazy bitches like Robyn here with her milkers porn sorry super mom pics).

Agreed, the important part is properly feeding the baby you didn't strangle with your snatch so they are healthy and thriving. Robyn did neither. She strangled Luna then starved her.

People need to just shut up if the baby is healthy, happy and thriving. Too much shit goes wrong to nitpick pumping vs breast vs bottle. Just feed Dem babies.

That kind of shaming makes me sort of understand why Robyn posts the fake nursing photos. She just wants to be accepted by the “cool moms” and probably feels like she sucks because she doesn’t directly breastfeed or even give breast milk.

I’m also sure a lot of the shitty mom things she has done is due to wanting brownie points from those certain mom groups…however there comes a time when you need to admit that your baby is more important than your need for acceptance or your idea of what your perfect mom self will be and that’s where she loses any sympathy from me.

I just wish women would realize it’s not a competition of who moms the hardest.

I’ll get off my soapbox now lol.
