Team Fortress 2 Community - A free-to-play dress up game for grownups, gameplay fully automated! Waiting to be mercy killed...

"guiz just gooo 2 commoooonitea survurs" is what I hear almost daily when it comes to the problems the game faces.

Meanwhile community servers:
>fake servers entirely
>fake players
>fake ping in the browser
>gay ass plugins
>24/7 meme maps
>shitty tweaks to please some gay ass youtuber audience

The game is fucked beyond all recognition in community, casual, and comp and the only reason I keep it installed anymore is in the vain hope maybe I'll see [update required] that contains more than the two seasonal updates and yet another shitty lootbox of even shittier cosmetics. How the game still has people defending it and Valve on the SCUD is beyond my comprehension.

Wonder if this is some sort of scheme by Valve to artificially inflate their rotten corpse of a game's playerbase.
I doubt it. Steam is their greatest source of income and TF2 still has people that are willing to spend money on cosmetics. Not to mention the Steam deck.

From what I see, Valve has no reason to make it seem like the game is still kicking. Especially when they don't seem to care about the game's well-being now.

I still have mods that adds improvements on offline bots but thats about it sadly.

Man we live in a timeline were other F2P games are arguably a better experience than current TF2 and that's just depressing.

Trade cabals, bots, obnoxious community servers- almost none of it would have happened if pyro was "standard" merc without entirely covered face and with normal voicelines. Sure the character design would be boring, but that's the price you have to pay in order to deny furfags potential self-insert. Take the pyrodeterminismpill, the moment someone decided to put on that mask the games fate was sealed.

You say that as if people don't headcanon the other classes as gay, queer, etc. Especially Medic and Heavy considering they have an established friendship.

I recently saw a Youtube video made about the circular autism of the MvM community, which I've been following for some time. Here's my little summary. Fair warning: some things surrounding this, especially claims about people, have weens and faggots from both sides running gay ops on each other.

Here's the video. TL;DR is that there are now two active groups of opinionated spergs in MvM. One that takes wasting money very seriously and shit their pants at the sight of incompetency and 1 broken weapon (Tacobot), and another that is the complete opposite because they cheat, which makes the missions they play even more trivial (Pizzabot). Now here's my personal TL;DR, taken from one of their websites:

You can probably figure out which is which. It wouldn't be autism without spreadsheets and compilations, so naturally they keep extensive lists on each other and players that just want to kill some robots. However, one group predates the other and is, in fact, what spawned its own rival in this competition about nothing. Let's start with them.

Tacobot

A 2 part series on their monkey antics (CW: a guy who really, REALLY wants to be Metokur)

Video that put the biggest spotlight on their activity

Encounters in the wild

Tool-assisted profile detection & kicks, vote system exploits, griefing games, retry spamming to reset wave starts (fixed), retry spamming to join mid-wave so you can't be kicked (not fixed), etc. Tard strength level desire to annoy you for playing the game wrong that you can only get in TF2. Here's their website. It went through a couple of iterations as the result of a viral video.

2020, prime time and just getting started. Kicklist is called a kicklist, extreme spergery in the comments of most accused profiles. The autistic Valve paypig is brazen and proud. 959 total results.

tacobot_2020.png

2021, some changes arrive as people being to point and laugh. Kickers are now just members, the kicklist is called the vague "reports" tab, cheater profiles start to appear more. Luckily the comments are just as entertaining still. 3868 additions.

tacobot_2021.png

2022, the transformation is complete. "Cheater related" only (though you can still find mentions of gas apes and other throwbacks if you scroll down far enough), comments appear to resemble functioning humans by this game's standards, there's even a guides section. Results have been trimmed down to a meager 932. Like light to vampires, exposure to the wider public killed most of the chromosomal outbursts.

Assorted individuals (Tacobot)

In no particular order or of any significance, just an example of potential entertainment from some members who can't help but be themselves.

Itzzz - occasional walls of text on his own profile (and others, but that's true for all of the people involved in this), no mention of autism would be complete without something Sonic related.

Herald11 - better known through videos of REEing.

Bonus ducksperg - walls of text, guest starring Snuuut; a separate exceptional individual that is not affiliated with any of the two groups but posts the longest screeds of them all on a huge number of profiles.

bonus_comments.png

Pizzabot

An extreme born from another extreme. New batch of special people, featuring the promotion of cheating. The video at the start should be enough background. Special mention goes out to whoever designed their website.

Their kicklist is not on par with 2020 Tacobot, which is a shame.

pizzabot_list.png

Assorted individuals (Pizzabot)

Interceptor - a lot of Tacobot members have been losing steam when it comes to dumping stupid shit in Steam's comment sections. This guy picks up slack. VAC bans present, obviously.

interceptor_comments.pnginterceptor_vac.png

Black/Cult_Prophet - another one for the bingo card of talking about TF2 players, a weeb coomer who's into femboys.

black_sperg_crossover.pngblack_vac.png

Corvalteo Corrax - leader of Pizzabot, which I've saved for last on purpose. He already has a thread (Mysterio Unknown / Luca Tiedemann). Unfortunately, it lacks archives and the most substantial post is written by a one-and-done account, so double check the Steam IDs grabbed by the archives there if you check it out.

It's nice of him to keep his 24/7 cyberstalkers updated on where he's going. What's that about assassins though? Is our boy Corrax gonna get whacked at Wacken? Well, he posted a 200 page long Google Document in his profile detailing all of the alleged crimes Tacobot members have committed against him and other people. Here are some snippets.

Welcome, Lycans and gentlemen. The typos are here to stay, the formatting doesn't get any better.

expose_start.png

Luca confirms his own dox and talks about hitmen coming to kill him again.

expose_hitmen.png

Luca fucking Niggerman will not stand for cyberbullying, 5 years is forever ago.

expose_niggerman.png

Tacobot is using MKULTRA techniques on unsuspecting MvM players.

expose_brainwashing.png

"A doxer is always a child molester and possibly a murderer".

expose_doxxers.png

I'm breaking the Internet Law by making this post and the cyber police are on their way.

expose_internet_law.png

Corrax is very fond of self-defense and Castle Doctrine, but his interpretation is a little generous.

Not having any luck uploading the full document to the Farms, so here's the catbox link: https://files.catbox.moe/d0hwya.pdf Hopefully somebody can upload it for me.
It's up, thank you @Thiletonomics

I'm sure more autistic depravity will surface eventually when it comes to this game mode as everybody has their super special rituals of giving Gaben their money. For scale, here are the statistics for top MvM tour completions (screenshot cut to Top 20 for brevity, each tour costs about 3-4 dollarydoos):

@Frail Snail I can't directly reply to your post for some reason.

I had a minor interaction involving one of the guys on the list of top tour completions some time ago. wasfxdvghj.jpgjkhgfhjy.jpgcxdfsgrtryjhg.jpg
For those unaware, during the last major update the game will ever see the pyro received a shitty secondary called the gas passer. While basically worthless in casual, in MvM it came with an upgrade that caused anything doused in the gas it produced to explode after taking damage. It was broken as fuck and did in fact require zero skill of any form to use so that even people who are normally the deadest of weight could add something. Knowing this you would think that members of Tacobot, people who dedicate their lives to what is essentially speedrunning through tours, would be all in favor of something that made it so the lobby wasn't ruined by one bad player and overall saved them time, right?

Absolutely not. There is already an established meta and you will adhere to the doctrine or be screeched at, repeatedly called a nigger, and kicked because you are playing the game wrong. Despite the fact that it's just as good (and in some cases easier) to use than the current meta they vehemently despise people who use gas. Although CK Game Fuel here isn't (or at least at the time wasn't) true blue Tacobot though because, I don't recall him making an attempt to kick me even though he just removed someone else for using it. I guess he didn't feel like waiting around for the slot to fill again.

Christ, I haven't played TF2 since I was a kid and yet I still don't remember it being this rabidly autistic.

It's like some switch in the userbase's collective subconscious was flipped to make them like this.

I think it's unironic autism, they make sure everything is the same (meta) and get mad when players have different ways to play the game. Anyone is gonna spend over 1K on virtual items in a video game is gonna be like that.

Think of it like WoW dungeons, the difficulty of a normal one is about the same as an MvM mission in Mann Up. If you just want the items and be done with it, who cares if a character way over the level cap of the dungeon carries you through (cheating)? On the other hand, what would a train set enthusiast who played through the same instances more than 2000 times want? There's no fun or joy left, just short dopamine bursts of being the carry and having the knowledge of all spawns and enemy quirks. Mess with or invalidate that and you'll get an addict's REE in return, especially since you pay money for the "privilege". Personally, I don't give a shit about drops and am not spending a cent on the game, so all of the groups mentioned are fucking annoying to play with.

Natural selection in reverse. Casual players that are fun to be around gradually drift away from the game (it's the same 10 fucking missions for 10 years now) while the retarded dregs stay and, with time, get to dictate how the remaining pool of normal people play through sheer numbers.

TF2 has burnt me out the last two-three years for the most part. I used to spend at least 30 hours a week playing back almost ten years ago, but now can barely last 20 minutes in a server without feeling like the game isn't as fun as it once was. Servers are polluted with even more weirdos RPing as FNAF characters than in 2014. Troons are more interested in arguing about retarded politics instead of playing the game in some servers. Plus most community servers I once played on a lot are dead, dying, or running on the cheapest servers imaginable because you're constantly stuttering or getting framerate drops from the packet loss or ads hijacking your screen.

Yeah, valve doesn't care much for the game, but I'd still rather entrust the game in valve's hands over the rabid autistic community at this point.

Everyday I come across a video showcasing a community-created custom weapon available on community servers
And everyday I am grateful that the community isn't allowed to make offcial updates.
Case in point
Hey guys, lets give the class that can one shot everyone a mobilty tool that lets him jump as high as a rocket jump!

Although the idea came from SLAG Gaming aaallll the way back in the day so it's not THEIR shitty idea.

In all fairness, TF2Classic actually has some pretty well-balanced custom weapons. At least, for the few custom/reworked weapons that exist in the mod
