Used to ghost a Texas Hunting Forum. About 25% of them were Q-cultists, 60% were just your average Trump fans, and the remaining chunk of the pie were “republican for Biden” RINO types. The latter sounded no different then a CNN article and about how they couldn’t vote for trump because “they were Jewish” or were “waiting for an actual republican.” They reeked of the old image of “loose with morals and grace” country club scotch drinking visage of the Republican Party. A lot of those men I could tell looked down on other hunters as “smelly low class Walmart hunters” if that is an accurate summary, and given their bragging of going on some mid 5 figure hunt for wild sheep or whatever the fuck, chances are gas prices and food prices ain’t phasing those cuck pricks.

The forum closed down to all but advanced members cus I guess a forum user was part of the 1/6 Boomerwaffen Capitol Attack Squad.

If I can add to that, I think it's worth raising that there are three types of inflation (just like there are three meanings to "average"). What you describe above is price inflation. But there is also the simpler monetary inflation. The two are linked, of course. But briefly put, when twice as much money is printed, the value of the money you have immediately becomes halved. Now that isn't immediately reflected in prices but once it happens it has happened whether you've noticed it or not. 40% of US dollars were printed in the last 12 months was the headline earlier in the year. Hard to believe but seems to be true.

Meaning that even if prices in the shops have "only" gone up 12%, your savings have just been slashed by nearly a third. You just don't know it yet.

guaranteed the population dropped hard in 2021, which should be a good thing economically, less people means the average person's worth is more, that plus double digit inflation means costs are more. except places aren't raising wages. i've been keeping track since covid started, almost no one has raised wages in the last 2 years in a major metro area, when right now even the cashiers at walmart should be knocking $20, except they're just getting minimum wage. inflation in that same timeframe went up about 33% but wages didn't go up one fucking bit, no where in this whole area.
