When I see the same people moaning over Daddy dominating their life over the false Rona and then cumming over the Ukraine, it pretty much makes a strong case for Russia winning this special operation being a good thing for humanity.

I know it doesn't make the rounds in my circle of right-wing schizos, but Russia also went full Branch Covidian.

-Kiev attack was a feint/raid due to small Russian troop numbers(20-30k troops for the most defended city in Ukraine?), fast withdraw, and little to no attempts to storm the city itself besides attack Ukrainian assets there. Instead of a giant battle happening with skyscrapers being demolished left and right and armored columns trying to force their way downtown they got close, sat there, skirmished and then left. There’s the possibility Russia tried a swift knockout punch with the feint as plan B but that seems unlikely because of how audacious it is.

They also attempted an air assault on Hostomel airport which was initially bounced by territorial defense, and when finally captured the airfield was too damaged to use as an air bridge. There were also riot police units killed holding riot shields. They clearly intended to flood the city after decapitating the Ukrainian command and control. It was a special operation, and one that would have books written about it if it had succeeded.
The skirmishes were part of probing attacks in an attempt to cut off the roads leading to Kiev. In the first thread people were counting the days until Kiev was encircled with how the Russian forces were moving West and then South to reach the main arteries. Apparently, that was all a feint.
The fast withdraw is just decent maneuvering. As I've said earlier, the withdraw was well done because if you don't do it right, the enemy exploits it. If you don't withdraw like that, you get slaughtered. It's not an indication of intent. It's actually an indication of competence.
I mean, yeah it was a feint in the same sense that Kubrick is such a perfectionist he faked the moon landing by shooting on location.

In a week or so they'll ask him about it and he'll go on some explanation on how the Ukrainians don't want peace so they totally have to keep bombing the hohols, rinse and repeat.

This war will only end soon if the Donbas offensive is an Epic Fail for the Russians, which isn't shaping up to really be the case so far from the very limited amount of stuff we get to see/hear about from there.

I don't think either of them want peace. Ukraine doesn't want to lose Donetsk, Luhansk and half their coast line and the Russians don't want to seem like they got shit on. Donbas offensive will be THE major conflict of the war imo and whoever wins it likely wins the war. Ukraine will probably exhaust their remaining mechanized units and Air Force in there and a loss there would probably be big enough for Russia to shit on all civilian will to continue the war and massively cripple them in terms of manpower and armor, which means unless they want to start accepting volunteers and sending in tanks without optics (or buying all that shit from the chinks), the war will essentially be over.

We also must consider the other actors in this war; NATO will want Ukraine to keep fighting for as long as possible for obvious reasons and the DPR/LPR won't want to leave without full control of all their claimed territory. I don't think they'll want to fight another decade long border conflict either. Kadyrov is also one to consider because he'll be very fucking mad if he's forced to go home by losing.
