I can only really recall Teen Titans Go doing holiday specials outside of Christmas and Halloween in recent years.

Oh man! I remember giving up cartoons and T.V in general in the mid-2000's. It's crazy how different it was from Rugrats and Courage to I-Carly and Adventure Time. Personally I find the 90's was a better time. But that was back when I was kid and I feel nostalgic for a more innocent time.

My favorite cartoons were part of the 2010s, that said, the 90s and early 00s clearly had more variety and a much bigger batch of good series. I would argue that the early 2010s, mainly for CN, were sort of a nice send off to that era of animation from 1992-2013. Was it as good by the end, no, but it certainly didn’t die with a whimper. Afterwards, the internet took more prominence and now animation is sort of a rocky industry as we leave the tv.

See Dana Terrance for example, bitch doesn't have even a soul. Now basically is putting her own life in a cartoon. What a shitshow.

I was pretty satisfied with the way the show ended honestly. It wrapped up most that needed to be wrapped up in a somewhat decent way. Maybe it felt a bit rushed at points, but I can accept them since everything else felt good. It was definitely better than most shows nowadays where the ending leaves you with more questions than answers, usually to "subvert" your expectations.

I actually got the complete series on DVD which is a nice thing to own.

I'm gonna give my two cents on Owl House since I finally saw a few episodes while I was waiting for food I ordered.


It's average. It feels like a typical 2010s cartoon that tries to appeal to children and adults (emphasis on tries). Unlike most people here, I did laugh a few times more than I Thought I would.

There's one really huge flaw and that extends to the entire American animation industry: it tries way too hard to appeal towards one group of people, specifically manchildren who write about the show on geek sites. Look at something like Hilda. That shows appeal just so happens to have people of all ages, adults would like the writing that doesn't drive them up the wall and messages about being brave, kids would like the adventurous feel to it; both would be charmed by the visuals since there's something beautiful in its simplistic look.

Owl House is more concerned about maintaining a status quo and kids can find that similar shit Owl House provides in anime. Shit if I wanted to watch something like this I'd watch HarryPotter, and I hate Harry Potter, but at least there J K Rowling was more concerned about telling a story than appealing to critics.
I'm honestly not surprised Disney is canceling it because children weren't tuning in.
But again, I will give it credit, when I laughed, I got a good laugh.

I also want to add: I don't miss linear Television. Way too many fucking commercials on Disney XD
