Earlier today the UK said Ukraine hitting targets in Russia's mainland is "perfectly justified" because they aim for "valild military targets". Russia replied that by that logic the UK should be fine with Russia hitting weapon convoys heading to Ukraine via the terriory of EU countries because hey, valid military targets, amirite?
Russia is at war with Ukraine, which means Ukraine can fight back.
I don't know which official said that, but he or she is absolutely delusional.

Vatniks don't care that some old person with one foot already in the grave got shit on by Ukrie troops, they care because they saw they can make her an idol that encourages further romanticization of a country and it's former satellite states that fell apart as soon as the threat of tanks rolling in was taken off the table. Gorbachev may have been a fucking idiot, but he exposed how only a small minority in the regions under the USSR and countries in the Warsaw Pact actually wanted to be in the USSR and the Warsaw Pact, and Vatniks have been seething ever since.
I don't think so. The USSR was an abomination, but that doesn't excuse abusing a senile old woman just for carrying a flag. Are there some people who are cynically spreading the meme with the agenda of making Soviet symbols cool again? Probably. But the reason it went viral is because a lot of people really do feel very strongly about elder abuse. It's like one step behind child abuse in marking someone as a total piece of shit.

Ukrainian "e" is pronounced like Russian "э" and vice versa. Here's a video explaining the difference
Foreigners will not be able to differentiate a Ukrainian from a Russian by speech alone. Ukrainian has slightly more vowels on average.
But you’ve said Polish and pronounciation. Polish has more consonants and a whole lot more fricatives. Difference between Russian/Ukrainian and Polish is blatantly obvious.

Well, Ukraine is in war with Russia, it's not the EU who's at war here, at least not directly.
If it's in Ukraine territory, that really does become a legit military target.

It means exactly that.

Rules for thee and not for me
Are you honestly citing happenings from the 1930s and 1940s as some kind of binding precedent that people on a forum dedicated to lolcows have to adhere to?

Foreigners who aren't Slavic can't differentiate any Slavic language from one another. Especially Americans.

A question for the Russia supporters in this thread:
How justified do you feel Russia is in waging this war against Ukraine? Absolutely justified? Somewhat justified? Not at all, but you don't like Ukraine and the state of the West so you're cheering Russia on anyway? I'd also appreciate it if you would explain why you feel so.
Slightly justified for the Donbas, completely unjustified for the rest of the country.

Russia is also retarded and their worship of the USSR is the stupidest fucking thing on Earth and anyone who unironically waves a Soviet flag or compares themselves to a Soviet soldiers is a mongoloid (which to be fair, due to Russia's demographics, they may very well be). Russia is a complete shithole that barely skirts past being a dictatorship, and it's probably still in the best state it's been in 200 years. Ukraine is basically equally retarded and worthless as a country, having produced nothing of relevance other than the kino that was Khmelnytsky's Uprising.

I want the DPR/LPR to win because despite some of them being stupid Soviet LARPers, I respect that they wanted to secede hard enough to actually fight for it and actually managed to win several battles against a professional army. It's the same respect I had for the Afghans in all of their wars against foreign powers until now.

Also, because I miss these little niggas like you wouldn't believe.

Lets break down this chain of logic, shall we?

1) Russia invades the Ukraine. A country who's pre-war borders it's current, standing government recognized in 1991
2) Russia carries out bombardments within Ukraine's borders. Targets defense infrastructure.
3) NATO offers material support but does not become directly involved.
4) Russia's own security compact offers material support but does not become directly involved.
5) Ukraine carries out bombardments within Russia's borders. Targets defense infrastructure.
6) Russia threatens kinetic action to EU member states in response.

And while you're at it? Could you guys stop threatening to nuke my relatives?

I will forward your points to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs a. s. a. p.

An insight into the mind of a Reddit Legion member. A former ZOGbot fighting in Ukraine to defend Israel.

>But King’s motivation for wanting to help Ukrainians went beyond humanitarianism. He’s convinced that Putin’s invasion marks the beginning of a greater global plot by Russia, Iran and Turkey to overrun Israel. This scheme was foreshadowed in the Bible, he claims: a passage in Ezekiel 38 portends an epic conflict sparked by a man called Gog (Vladimir Putin, in King’s reading) from a land called Magog (Russia) which will mark the end of days.
>By the time he came back from Afghanistan, King says he was at “the point of suicidal depression”.
>King surrounded himself with a “high-speed team” to “go in slick, hit supply lines, blow up bridges”.
>Not long after they left, the barracks at Yavoriv were pulverised by cruise missiles, resulting in dozens of casualties.
>Then the Ukrainians started handing them bloodied suits of body armour. “And it was like, wait a minute, where are the guys who were once wearing this? Are they still out there, injured?”
>The foreigners were informed that they were to head to a village north of Kyiv that had recently been overtaken by Russian forces. Their task was to retake it. A Ukrainian commander took out his smartphone and scrolled to the location on a map.
>“You don’t just show a picture on your cell phone of a village the Russians had captured and tell 20 guys to go take it,” King says. At that point he got a taxi to Lviv in western Ukraine.
>He had no money and was looking to set up a GoFundMe page to raise the funds for a plane ticket home. I asked him if he was worried about what to do next. No, he said. His life had become a series of meanderings and retreats and fumbled adventures, and his trip to Ukraine had turned out to be no different.
I kinda agreed with this guy, until the Bible schizoing part about Israel.
On a somewhat related note, I wish the farms existed as a BBS back in the 90s during the war in former Yugoslavia. There were of people from abroad volunteering just like in Ukraine now. It would be interesting to see what would the discussions look like.

Standard of 30-40 should be standard of 30-40, but somehow people try to shame USSR about Poland, and dont care about Chechoslovakia, fast forward almost 100 years later, NPCs of today repeat NPCs of the past.

But in our time? Honestly, yes, I for making standards universal, but I don't expect a positive change in that direction from the people who invented "whataboutism."

p.s.
Косово је српска земља

But wait. Just like Western powers betrayed Chechoslovakia, they betrayed Poland. The standards are actually the same.
