In recent years there was a huge increase in Adderall (amphetamine) prescriptions, a lot of it to young women. How much of the craziness we're seeing is simply caused by mass intoxication? I mean, look at the faces of all these nasty "activists", the teachers posted by @libsoftiktok. They all have the AOC/Manson eyes, which are a typical side effect of amphetamines. Meanwhile these drugs are comparatively rare, or even completely illegal in continental Europe, which corresponds to much less wokeness and hysteria. What do you think?

This one is tough. Maybe the fatties are on SSRIs instead? They tend to cause weight gain, and their prescriptions are also rising and rising since the '90s, with no end in sight.

I'm in an industry where Adderall abuse is rampant. I've taken it before, and it reduces me to a robotic state. Creative thinking is just dead, you do things like a machine and your emotions are stunted, and you are overall angrier and more ill tempered. The fact that adderall can turn people into this is no surprise to me, since 90% of adderall users I've known in construction are huge hardasses or lack empathy.

ssris and birth control. some other antipsychotics too cause a lot of medication prescribed to women causes weight gain. i stopped taking ssris cause of the weight gain and it’s other effects were way more negative than positive.

adderall though has been really beneficial for weight loss and productivity imo, and for motivation to work but it’s different for everyone i guess

You can be fat and on speed. It sounds crazy, but I've known a few fat crack smokers in my day. Of course it's a lot easier to be fat as a crack smoker than an Adderall eater, but it's still not impossible.

I think a lot of the more nutty politicians and actors are abusing Adderall, which is why we see so many retarded takes from them so often. AOC for instance, that big, bug eyed dummy. She's definitely popping Adderalls probably 90% of her life.

That's the whole problem. Amphetamines make you do the work even if it makes no sense. Good for Luftwaffe pilots at the later stages of the war, not so good in time of peace. Laziness is frequently a correct instinct.

Can you get fired for political views in any of these countries? Did the Karolinska Institute get firebombed after banning puberty blockers? I don't think so. Of course there's leftist politics, but they usually don't have this hysterical, pitchfork-and-torches form.

not only fired, but literally arrested, charged with 'hate speech' offenses, and thrown in prison.
europe does not have anything like the american constitutional protection for free speech. the exact details vary between countries, but all of them are way below american standards in this regard.

It's not so simple. I of course know about hate speech laws (and blasphemy laws), but they're very specific. I don't think they're used much except for actual bat-wielding skinheads and similar pests. There was some case against a preacher in Sweden or Finland, but he wasn't convicted eventually. You generally need to say very specific things to get in trouble, not some James Damore type academic stuff, and the punishment is usually smallish fines. You don't lose public rights like a convicted felon in the US. Zemmour was fined a symbolic 10000EUR for calling imigrants rapists and murderers, but he still ran for president.
Americans have the First Amendment (which I personally like), but in practice they must be much more careful than europeans in what they say, because they can be fired or banned from the bank, phone company and the like for much less than what is considered "hate speech" here. You don't have state power censoring you, but the mob is in many aspects much worse than state power - there's no normal lawsuit with appeals.
On the other hand, Europe treats anti-trust and consumer protection much more seriously. You can't for example get blacklisted by all banks just because they don't like you. They won't even try such tricks.

I would like examples from outside the UK, which is as loony as the USA or even worse. Everything I found are fines or suspended sentences, which I would quite frankly prefer to the typical US-style cancellation.
Anyway, topic got derailed already. I expected some examples of tweakers or non-tweakers and their freakouts. Wine moms getting hooked on adderall and turning into Molotov-throwing antifas, not EU vs US sperging.

I've also been on Adderall before. Stopped taking it because it made me feel completely numb emotionally. Also made me artificially skinny given my diet. Still trying to improve on that. Amphetamines and SSRIs have absolutely been used as a weapon against the American people

I always see stuff about adderall usage raising but rarely anything about Ritalin or Concreta. Might have something to do with the chemical structure being different? Oddly enough I see adult adhd people who have taken adderall avoiding it and taking Ritalin, an SNRI, or nothing but good old coping strategies. Adderall made my adhd worse imo.

Yeah, I was mostly thinking of more white-collar jobs. There's this type of programmer who will sit long hours and implement whatever the client wants - it usually ends badly (for the client, not for me lol). Drivers, guards etc are another story.

Wellbutrin has been trending on twitter all day because Elon says it's worse than Adderall. I wouldn't have thought so- it works for real in a way that SSRIs don't because of what it does to dopamine, but it doesn't do it in such a way as to be habit-forming and can be quit cold turkey. But maybe he's onto something. A lot more people seem to take Adderall though. And Adderall type drugs do seem to be at play in some of the wide-eyed manic behavior from the elites, like that fucking Mary Poppins of Censorship freak.

Now I've heard some very out there theories about society and what ills it, but "Women acting insane as of late is caused by mass amphetamine abuse" might be among the most insane. As if women don't have a good reason to be unhinged; as a man you already tend to feel pretty out of control, but women can do literally nothing for themselves anymore. If you haven't seen it firsthand you might not understand, but it's legitimately, no exaggeration or hyperbole, disturbing how unable they've become to do anything independent. Their insanity is an expression of the fact they're freaking out but don't know what to do about it, because the femoid brain is not well adjusted to decisive goal-oriented action, it just emotionally flails until someone takes pity on them.

Plus adderall doesn't just make a person act nuts in perpetuity, that isn't how narcotics work, if someone is taking enough that they're speeding they're going to just develop a tolerance, or they're the kind of person who'll just want to take a nap for a few hours after taking it.
