You know, if we're doing television show analogies, Metokur is Seinfeld.
For the zoomers out there, Seinfeld was a sitcom which was immensely popular in the '90s about a group of dysfunctional thirtysomething friends in New York City. It was so popular that phrases and plot lines would almost instantly enter the American cultural zeitgeist. An episode would feature the friends using the phrase "yadda yadda yadda" to omit critical information from a conversation, and now everyone in America was saying "yadda yadda yadda." Another episode had two of the male friends being mistaken as a gay couple, and when they discussed their situation they were always quick to mention "not that there's anything wrong with that" to virtue signal to anyone within earshot that they thought homosexuality was okay, and now everyone in America does that when homosexuality is brought up. "Master of your own domain" became a euphemism for masturbation. An episode features a non-religious replacement for Christmas called Festivus featuring feats of strength and airing of grievances (where you bring up things about family members that are bothering you) and people start unironically practicing it annually.
So how is Metokur Seinfeld? Think of all the language he has brought to this sektur recently that alogs have been repeating; "year of the chud," "ragepig," "bog hog," "SOOO-EEEE," and most recently "sour grapes" - which even Ralph and his orbiters have been heard saying recently in the last couple days.
What will we be repeating after next Saturday's stream? What words will Daddy Jim put into our mouths? Let's find out.
