Au Ra come in three flavors: Generally friendly and enjoyable to be around with good taste in glams, painfully basic but not unbearable, and insanely entitled or mentally ill (female Raen especially fall into the unwell group, I have no idea why they attract that type of person). Trannies give Sadu a bad name by fucking loving Xaela, though there are some actual girls playing the race.. If they aren't playing as a male Au Ra.
Miqo'te are a mixed bag, given they're the most played race in the game. The majority of catgirl players are the type that'd call their characters unique when they use the same popular glams and often, legitimately have the same exact face. Catgirls can have paper-thin skin or the polar opposite, but they skew more towards being oversensitive. Catboys tend to be played by fujoshi, catty gay men, or sociable weebs that get scolded for being a bit edgy in a city-state's Shout chat. They will either blow hot ass with mechanics, or predict the AOEs seconds before they show up.
There's a good chance of a female Lalafell player being an actual woman (at least from my experience). I've also seen a weird amount of "trap" Lalafell that're instantly clockable if you're autistic like me and can tell the difference between the faces at a glance. They either try very hard to be funny and get obnoxious about it, take their character fairly seriously, or go the hardcore cute route. Most of the joke characters are male Lalafell. The nauseatingly cute ones (the ones that talk like children for some reason or are all pastel) are mostly women with bad taste, with the occasional genderspecial. Skill level is a mixed bag.
Roegadyn dudes are played by guys that like orcs/big dudes, gay men, and people that want to make a joke character. Female Roegadyn are either the same thing but change big dudes to big women, or they're well aware of the playerbase fetishizing them. Roe players tend to be chilled out, good with mechanics and nice, but there's insufferable femroe players out there. You'll definitely see them if you take a look at the community on social media sites.
I can't really come up with concrete groups or stereotypes when it comes to Hyur players, but female Highlanders do get fetishized like femroe do, to a lesser extent. Both middle and high are easy to talk to, glams are either basic or actually pretty good. Some male Midlander players are fujoshi, but somehow aren't quite as in your face as male Miqo'te or Viera and I couldn't tell you why. I've seen a few male Highlander players that're oddly insecure about "anime" races, but this died down after the WoW refugee crisis eased up.
Elezen players are a rare species, but most of my experience with them has been great. Female Elezen are friendly and good with sprouts, male Elezen tend to be quieter but good in conversation when they do talk. Good taste in glams, they shit on the mentors constantly. A few obnoxious bad apples and dangerhairs, but I like them overall. Due to Heavensward introducing a whole platter of well-written and nice-looking Elezen men, I'd guess there's fujos that play as male Elezen. I've yet to see them be as fantastically homosexual as catboys and bunnyboys, though.
Viera are weird. You've got basic coomers, massive bitches that get passive aggressive at the drop of a hat, and genuinely nice people that're good with advice, but kind of awkward otherwise. There's also a minority of them that play Viera because they're Ivalice superfans, and by "minority" I mean I'm friends with two people that fall into this category. Male Viera are almost entirely played by fujoshi, but there are some dudes playing the race too. Glams are either so bog standard it gives you physical pain, or they're noticeably cool. No in between whatsoever. A lot of them play like total shit, but my luck might just be bad with them.
Hrothgar are similar to Viera. You have your FFX fans and people that like cool beastmen, but the majority of Hrothgar players are turbogay men that have a closet in every room of their house. Very oversensitive, and very vocal about how gay they are. Unlike Viera, they usually aren't passive aggressive and tend to be quite nice in groups and overall, if they aren't talking about how gay gay gay they are. Glams are either oddly effeminate, very very fruity or noticeably cool. I've not met a woman playing Hrothgar yet, but I'll bet that'll change once female Hrothgar debut. I have a feeling they'll be in the same camp as female Roegadyn, except furry.
