If this occurred while Trump was in office and presiding over the relative prosperity that was enjoyed through (most of) his term, I’d agree with you.

The left would 1.) have their orange boogeyman to act as a solidifier for tHe rESisTAncE, and 2.) with a humming economy, the independents would have the free time and capacity to worry about menial shit like mean tweets and RvW. When times are good, that’s when you see the most sperging over non-issues (gun control is a good example) that only become issues when people don’t have more pressing matters to concern themselves with.
