Lol it's on fucking youtube. Guess the guy is a hologram too. What do you think is fake about the intro or ending?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=do2P9FYD_2g was the original upload. My search attempts did not return the re-upload you linked for some reason.
Now onto the fakery. First, they are in the field with wind blowing and yet sound quality is suspiciously good based on how poor quality of the footage is otherwise. Almost as if people in the video, including the prisoner, had microphones on them or were dubbed. The prisoner is strangely compliant too until he is grabbed. Most prisoners in cartel and ISIS videos I saw had to be held down or surrounded, even if they were blindfolded. This guy isn't and his legs are not bound. He could take off running into the field. Militants in the video are lucky that he was nice enough not to.
Common signs of fake videos:
- Covered mouths so everything can be dubbed if needed
- Poor image quality
- Shot at night or in low light conditions
- Obscured view and over reliance on implication, sound effects, or narration for viewers to know what happens
- Video suddenly cuts at the end
There are other questionable elements specific to this video:
- Amount of blood is suspiciously small, assuming that bit of dark stuff is blood at all.
- It cuts at the part right before victim's legs catch on fire, something that would be the most difficult to fake and the exact moment you would cut a fake video if you had to put the fire out so your buddy does not get hurt. Why wouldn't Ukrainians film the charred body to show that they really mean business?
- Hands are only shown briefly, once the nails have been put in, actual hammering is not visible, and there is only a brief glimpse
- The prisoner only moves his legs. His torso, arms, and fingers are still, as if he didn't want to inconvenience people doing the taping and hammering and then to clearly show off the nail
- Why aren't the legs taped when on the cross? He just politely stands on the platform for no good reason. With legs not bound he could swing them forward, bring down that flimsy cross, and try to get away. Anyone would move legs reflexively the moment fire started. That's why all old paintings and representations of execution by burning show sentenced people tied up well.
- Why are there burning torches around, even though they already have a large spotlight? For ambiance?
Then you have to consider circumstances surrounding the video. No major news outlets picked up on it, even ones that were pro Russia. For some reason they didn't, even though this video was more substantial than anything about the crucified boy story. If this was credible, it would make no sense for the Russian side to ignore. It would be an actual evidence of a warcrime and possibly ethnic cleaning. Very good grounds to start investigation, possibly trials, and even justify the intervention to the rest of the world. Again, this happened back in 2014 when the west was more willing to work with Russia. Why would an opportunity like that be wasted? Why wasn't this brought up by anyone with any degree of importance?
Besides, why would Ukrainian fighters even make that video in the first place? If it's for propaganda, then why don't Ukrainians plaster it all over social media like ISIS did with their videos? Footage like this is a liability if you are trying to court western support. Gay theatrics like crucifixion and burning are a useless waste of time anyway, unless the video is to be spread as propaganda, and that did not happen.

This video reeks of the same fakery Ghost of Kiev did. Of course, people do not like to scrutinize propaganda that aligns with their biases. One side buys up Ace Combat footage while the other one believes fake stories about crucifixions.

Also it is more my idea that we are in World War 3 right now. Russia fucking up Ukraine's food production will destabilize the West more than a military fight, which would unify us more while being a fight Russia could not win.

Russia can fuck up NATO because NATO played stupid games in Ukraine and won stupid prizes in the form of food shortages, energy crisis's and destabilization.

See. This guy gets it. The Western economies will sputter and die as they cannot support a bread and bullet economy due to supply chain shortages. Right now we are just dumping Cold War surplus on Ukraine. Ukraine will run out of manpower long before Russia does.

And what happens if Iran or China decide to start acting up and start a war? Do we pour more of our dwindling resources into that? The Establishment will say yes.

We will be bled dry by a thousand cuts.
Isn't Europe largely self sufficient when it comes to food? Only places like Norway, Spain, Italy, Benelux, Austria, and Greece might have problems due their large population relative to arable lands. Even then, other European nations produce good amount of surplus, as does the U.S., Australia, and Canada. Europeans could tap into their emergency stockpiles until logistics are figured out. If that's too much of a challenge, the U.S. could activate its civil reserve air fleet to ease the burden. Europeans are getting fat anyway, so no one will be dying of hunger any time soon.
What could get hairy is the situation in Africa, Middle East, and China. They can't grow all food they require and are dependent on imports. Ukraine and Russia are crucial suppliers of food and fertilizer to these regions. China has been hoarding grain for a while now, so they might be prepared. As long as they do not fail at logistics, like they did recently during Shanghai's lockdown. I think that situation will repeat and there will be some unrest in China because of it.
Middle East and Africa will be even worse. Last time there were issues with food supplies to middle east, we got Arab spring, although many experts claim that other factors that led to it were more important. Arab spring triggered conflicts like Syrian civil war, and they triggered the "refugee" crisis of 2015. If conflicts erupt again, we might get a repeat. Refugee crisis cost several governments their power, contributed to Brexit, and now is seen as a mistake in Europe. Things might get interesting now that Europeans might protect their borders. Even if some countries would want to take refugees in, they would likely have pass due to all Ukrainians already taking up most resources.

NYPD releases photos of suspected White supremacist Russian sympathizers accused of stealing 400 donated bulletproof vests from a Ukrainian NGO in NYC. Ukraine is our second greatest ally, so I hope these neo-Nazis are brought up on terrorism charges with a hate crime enhancement and denied bail.
and of course they are all nigg... I mean white supremacists.

I want you to think about it.
I did think about it. The problem is your interpretation of the word "spending".

The west isn't spending shit. It is dealing out surplus defense articles valued in those amounts. Articles that are already manufactured. Articles that aren't rusty pieces of shit in Siberia. It's a bookkeeping number and something to put in the paper to say "we're helping!" but ultimately meaningless. As if someone could accurately calculate the value of a used M113.

In exchange for these articles NATO is having their rival on the global stage and it's main threat get it's ass reamed by a bunch of wheat farmers and scattering the less rusty bits of their leftover Cold War antiques across the steppe. This is capability that Russia cannot afford to replace. This is their warchest. Countering it is the main reason the west has that stockpile of defense articles to begin with. Russia cannot afford to requip with T-90Ms and Armatas to go charging into Poland afterward. They can't afford to build another Moskva (or have a shipyard to do it). Once this war is over Russia is not going to have the ability to be a credible threat to the security of Europe this side of nukes. It is effectively military disarmament by proxy.

This is entire the motivation for giving the Ukrainians aid. They are ready and willing to take Russian scalps and smash the warchest. You bring up Vietnam. Yeah, it's like that. But the Ukes are the ones wearing black pajamas in the rice paddies and we are the ones sending AKs and MiGs and SAM systems into Haiphong Harbor. $40k ATGMs to cause $4.5m near-irreplaceable modern tanks to eject their turrets. Old Stingers to knock down $15m Ka-52s. John Deere tractors snatching abandoned multi-million dollar TELARs. How many T-90Ms and Ka-52s did Russia start the war with? How many can they produce a year? 10? 20? Who is the one losing economically here?

And all for essentially the cost of shipping and maybe a rounding error worth of new procurement in the defense budget. The Ukes kicking in Stugna-Ps, T-64BVs, Neptunes, and BTR-4s with their own homespun but also sizable defense industry is just a bonus. So I wouldn't bank on them running out of equipment and ammunition to fight this war. The west can ratchet it up any time they choose to. The US prepositioned European equipment was moved to Poland a month ago. It's just a matter of handing over the keys.

Where the fuck is all the war footage? I want more drone pov of tanks lighting shit up, or being lit up. Since the withdrawal to the east things seem to have quietened down alot, recently.
They ran out of ammo. Simple as that. That's why you see singular vehicles destroyed being flaunted to shit and back as some massive victory. For all the circlejerking about russians running out of guided munitions on 30th 29th 28th February, it seems to be the opposite.

$40k ATGMs to cause $4.5m near-irreplaceable modern tanks to eject their turrets. Old Stingers to knock down $15m Ka-52s. John Deere tractors snatching abandoned multi-million dollar TELARs. I don't want to get into this discussion, but I'd like to point out just how much cheaper manufacturing of war armament in russia is, and that you very overstate the usefulness of both ATGM and MANPAD. We're only being shown the succesful usage, not the hundreds that are shot and miss.

Despite only making up 13% of the population, Ukrainians make 50% of all borsch.

Colonel Igor Bedzai, Ukrainian pilot with the 10th Naval Aviation Brigade. KIA May 7. Veteran of the 2014 Invasion of Crimea, his unit, under his command, was one of the few who managed to evacuate their equipment.

Guess all those jets and helicopters did go down near Snake Island, or at least one of them. I don't know enough about Eastern European military aviation to tell whether this guy flew helis or jets from the color of his shoelaces or whatever the fuck, if anyone does please tell us.

Edit: Apparently this guy knew how to fly both. Oh well.

No. Ukraine had the unique quality of being a "quasi NATO" nation. The US gave them a security guarantee that was revealed to be useless. Poland is an actual NATO member so NATO would be obligated to react.

Taiwan holds series of pro-Ukraine rallies ahead of Russia’s Victory Day

TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan stood up for Ukraine with a series of rallies in Taipei, Hsinchu, and Taichung on Sunday (May 8 th.)

The group Taiwan Stands with Ukraine (TSWU) asked Taiwanese to “show the world the cruel toll of Russian aggression, and show that Taiwan stands with a fellow democracy under attack,” in a post on a Facebook event page.

Rallies took place at Taipei Liberty Square, Hsinchu Train Station Square, and the Taichung Train Station Square from 2-3:30 p.m., during which supporters brought flags, slogans, and posters to show solidarity with Ukraine. They also sang the Ukrainian national anthem, while Ukrainian and Taiwanese speakers shared their stories and messages.

Only 3 T-14s are showing up apparently, given how even Russia has softly admitted in the past it's just going to be a testing platform at this point, I'm not surprised we've been seeing less and less of them over the years.

I don't really blame them, fully replacing their entire tank fleet with that would be a daunting task financially even if they had a US level economy. Especially if you're looking at it like a politician and see how many "good enough" tanks you have in inventory.

Where the fuck is all the war footage? I want more drone pov of tanks lighting shit up, or being lit up. Since the withdrawal to the east things seem to have quietened down alot, recently.

Apart from Chechens firing guns alot at empty buildings(they must be because most of the vids they stand out in the open emptying a magazine and then hand over to a mate who does the same) and the odd bit of drone footage of tanks, or loads of missiles being shot off somewhere, there is not a great deal of vids and the latter could be from older wargames/testing. I want to see what happens at the other end when they fucking land and on current targets that can be identified. The bombing/missile/mortar footage from the steel factory hasn't exactly been jaw dropping and that is supposed to have been intensive.

Anyhow....it is the 9th. Putin has to do something or victory day is going to be a bit meh.

The US banned attached media in and around Ukraine in the middle of February: https://thehill.com/policy/defense/...or-blocking-journalist-embeds-around-ukraine/ (http://archive.md/EEuUO), and Russia isn't going to allow embeds anyways, most media that covers non-domestic issues is state media. This leads to random people taking video from their phones, or military propaganda, and not much in between.
