Earthbound would be hilarious just to watch every single joke fly over his head. Him mean-mugging his way through the game would be some sort of avant-garde performance art.

When Phil, who talks all the time about how much he loves Earthbound, played it previously, he didn't know the gimmick to beat the final boss until the stream chat told him. He had grinded to near max levels, was using save states, and tried to bash Giygas to death for twenty minutes until the chat tells him what to do. Afterwards he said he had only beaten the game once and asked how he was supposed to remember that.

He has never expressed thoughts about higher values in life, family, etc. He is as empty as the dead look he gives his viewers. The guy is so pathetic so on one level you should feel sorry for him, but you have to remind yourself that in the end he has no redeming value what so ever.

Haven't played myself but heard good things about it. So far it looks like TIHYDP material from present day Phil.

4 of these are just never-ending and incredibly boring. Mirrors Edge was surprisingly entertaining because my god he's terrible. Could easily be beat in two day streams which is why it's night only.

100% agree. I'd also like to bring up the fact that people on Kiwifarms were talking about Phil doing a playthrough of an older game and then wouldn't you know it, Phil plays one and just as we predicted he sucks at it.

Phil doesn't play them because they're popular. He gets some type of odd satisfaction from being a contrarian.

Phil still had a healthy fan base when Minecraft was at the height of it's popularity, but he ignored it like it was a demand for payment notice.

Like other aspects of Phil's life. It's weird to see his greed, ego, contrarianisms and stupidity clashing together.
