When I first saw the price for the alternate Hololive costumes in Valkyrie Connect I went, "lol, imagine paying that".

But just now I briefly opened the game to resend an expedition with my units, and instead of the usual home screen that welcomes you, I actually got a small surprise sequence with Ina, implemented to celebrate her birthday. It's really short, like 5 slides, but man... Like, there was no need to do that, but it changed my whole impression of the collab, the devs, and the game. How nice it is when instead of phoning it in, someone puts that little bit of extra care into it. I'm legit thinking of paying for one of the costumes now.

Still, considering she's in Hololive odds are she might stay as you can be the least perfoming member of the group and still make better than most chuubas out there. Completely useless to answer my orginal question that was addressed to the regular posters (ty again to all who wrote a response), but interesting nonetheless


I'm actually surprised that the % of those that started after early 2012 is so low, but at the same time I think that the option about Kizuna AI debut kinda derailed the poll. I'm sure lots of people watched some of her early streams but the "vtuber scene" as it is today wasn't even born then, so I think it's difficult that so many people fell into the rabbit hole of simping and following the talents so early on.

I was aware of Kizuna way back before holo and subbed to her and tried to watch any translated vid i eventually fell off due to the language barrier

Fast forward to projekt melody debut and that shitstorm falling in love with her unique seemingly contradictory combo of seiso and lewd

I assume because i subbed to Melodys channel the algorithm started recommending me holo and this was my first exposure on the traitors known as hololive moments channel so here is a reupload of that

I loved this clip and very much enjoyed Matsuris decent into madness

After that i got the usual suspects like fubuki shitposts scatman and spiderman and then i fell in love with the doog clips and her communications with us en speakers and the algorithm sent me okayu and coco clips to name a couple after that

I then got into Ironmouse through Nux (pre vtuber) collabing with her, Mel and Noble and then witnessed the creation of Vshojo which i have dabbled in since keeping mostly to Mel and Mouse

At some point the Taiwan incident happened and i sought more info on the internet leading me to this thread

I lurked for a long time before becoming a fairly regular poster here

Myth debuted and i finally had reason to watch full holo streams i could actually understand so i began following all of them

Then niji en happened and i fell down that rabbit hole too

And the rest is history

Maybe it is just because I'm not much of a fan of Kronii and I am of Mumei, but the constant shipping with them and any interaction between them being "teetee" gets annoying. From the interactions I see between them it doesn't even really seem warranted and just way too forced by thirsty fans. It feels more just like a couple friends f-ing with each other (well mostly Mumei messing with Kronii), but I don't get any ship vibes out of it and it gets grating.

I guess this is how others feel about ships they don't agree with or who don't like shipping in general. Usually I don't mind it if it is in good fun and they go along with it (BaeRyS for example), but I've never really seen anything like it from Mumei or Kronii indicating they are playing along, but chat pushes it so hard sometimes.


As an aside, even though I'm not a Kronii, I do feel bad for her when it comes to Minecraft. Lately, holoEN Minecraft streams (and even occasional JP and ID tourists) have turned into "how can we f with Kronii/bunkeronii". She seems like she just wants to chill on there and built/play and I have to imagine it must get frustrating for her, even if there's quite a bit of content coming out of it. Hopefully they'll find some new project on there to distract them eventually.

In my experience Kronii and Mumei definitely play into it they may not go so far as to call eachother wife like BaeRys but they certainly have similar vibes
