Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

The schools in the inner city areas have tons of metal detectors and police that prevent kids from stabbing or shooting each other over little arguments or gang activity but mass shootings only require a little social engineering. Locking the fucking doors of the building for one thing. Why can someone just walk into an elementary school at anytime? Teachers guide the kids everywhere so the only times the doors need to be open is when kids arrive, when kids go home. Give faculty keys.

Or do what most businesses already do and make doors require a code or buzzer for secretaries to admit entry. This will also take care of bunkers.

This really stood out to me, every school I've gone to has had ALL side doors and exits locked with the only way to enter being the main entrance with a secretary there to greet you. I couldn't tell from the video posted of him entering the school but it didn't look like it was the main entrance he used to get in.

I'm reading some pretty conflicting information, so correct me if im wrong...That being said, I thought i read border patrol was already pursuing this man before he was able to reach the school? Again, it could all be bullshit speculation..., but if true; this marks one of the first mass shootings, as far as I can remember, where the shooter was actively being chased towards the eventual crime scene and was still able to accomplish somewhat of his goal.
