It seems like the legal stuff with Archie is going to keep moving forwards slowly. At least for now it's not Alfie Evans levels of crazy but I've read that hospital staff have been getting abuse.

"On the day the accident happened I remember looking at my son’s cheeky face as he walked into my bedroom, I knew straight away he was up to something. “Here, Mum, I’ve got you a sweet,” Archie said, smirking.

He held up a bag for me to put my hand into but our pet rabbit, Simian, was inside.

“Archie!” I said, laughing. “Put the rabbit back before it pees on the carpet.” He left my room and I was still smiling.

......

But on 7 April, just minutes after Archie had been in my room teasing me with the rabbit, I found him unconscious at the top of the stairs.

I thought he was quiet, but I wasn’t worried: he’s 12, he doesn’t need me standing over him all the time.

I came out of my room and called him – and that was when I saw the rabbit at the top of the stairs. “Arch?” I called and walked towards him. I thought he was standing on the stairs – but when I got closer saw he was hanging there.

I started screaming for help, but it was just me and Archie at home.

I took the pressure from his neck and ran into the street screaming for help. It was pure adrenaline. I was screaming and panicking a neighbour came, called an ambulance and took over giving CPR until help arrived.

Like all of these medical cases, the family and friends can spout off rubbish on social media and the only time you hear the other side of the story is from court reporting. Holly seems to be as thick as a brick but also capable of misreporting what's happening in a way that gets her equally thick supporters riled up. She was saying on her FB that the doctors couldn't do the brain stem testing because Archie was sedated but then the news reported that the doctors couldn't attempt the test because there was no response to a nerve simulation test.

Holly's latest thing is she has now got Archie wearing a smart watch because she thinks this will show when Archie is sleeping and awake as the brain function monitor has been removed.

I think it won't go to the same level of public protest as Charlie gard and Alfie Evans for a couple of reasons.

I think the supporters have to be extra thick to buy Hollie's story. Most people will read that and know its a suicide attempt, and most people will quickly reaslise the mum is batshit and deliberately misleading.

The parents of the various dying babies (there was an Asian one as well i think) were just uneducated. They didnt have the smarts to understand that sometimes babies just dont make it. Hollie comes off as properly unhinged and also loving the attention, and the child looks clearly fucked unlike the babies who still looked normal. Charlie gard looked bad by the end with oedema but for the most part they looked like healthy sleeping babies and it was difficult to reconcile with being told they were desperately sick.

I think that's why it's not getting the same traction as the previous cases. I hope it stays that way and we don't see Qtards picketing the hospital.

I can't handle Susan's thread ever since Jani ended up back home. It's too heartbreaking. It'll be the same if Aurora ends up back in Musty's clutches.

More depressing Archie Battersbee sad/madness. Hollie wants him trached. Docs not having it. Still thinks he's trying to open his eyes.

Idiot followers not understanding that if he somehow came back from this he would not be "back in the gym". Right now this is as good as its ever going to get for the poor lad.

I've noticed he has a circular bruise or mark on his forehead it's in every picture. Any medikiwis want to weigh in what that's about?

Wonder if the swelling/fluid on his brain has popped something. It’s also possibly what’s forcing his eyes to “open” as they bulge out (not a medifag).

Poor little guy. It really is depressing and won’t do anyone any favours.

Even if there was a possibility, sometimes you have to weigh up quantity to quality of life.

Wonder if its the very start of decomp, Jahi was getting decomp spots all over.

The judge is going to visit archie before she makes her decision. I can only imagine she's agreed to do that as a kindness to the family/humouring them because its not going to have any legal bearing on her decision. He's either dead or he ain't.

might be from a CPAP/oxygen being attached to his face at times, a strap or such might be there pressing the skin, removed for photos.

or decomp or a pressure wound starting from same

I really hope it's the former. How bad can decomp get and how fast in a situation like this? I know jahis bowel was sloughing after a year or 2.

it would take a while. more likely just marks from a strap. even a pressure sore would take weeks

They have him on some hormone replacement (levothyroxine I knew, I googled vasopressin as I suspected something is wrong with his pituitary gland. I think the third is hydrocortisone. This may be bad. His pituitary gland can’t tell his organs to make stuff he needs (possibly, not a medifag).

I mean he could have had this before he tried to kill himself but I would expect her Facebook to be full of stuff about her kid having pan-hypopituitarism.
