Crime Gunman at a Texas elementary school kills 19 students and two adults before being fatally shot, officials say - yeehaw

(CNN)A suspect is in custody after a shooting incident at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, left at least two dead and injured 14 people, including students, authorities said.

The Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District (UCISD) posted about an "active shooter" at Robb Elementary at 12:17 p.m. local time and said law enforcement was on site.

The suspect was taken into custody as of 1:06 p.m. local time, according to the Uvalde Police Department.
Two have died after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, a spokesperson from Uvalde Memorial Hospital told CNN.

The hospital received 13 children at their facility who were being treated for varying injuries, he said. Two children were transported to San Antonio and another is pending transfer, Tom Nordwick said.

Additionally, two patients were dead on arrival, he said. Nordwick was not sure of the ages of the two deceased. A man in his 40s was also being treated there, he said.

Nordwick did not have conditions on any of the victims.

This is a developing story and will be updated.

Considering firearms are only succesfully used in self defence in less than 1% of cases and having a gun on you is more likely to result in your death in a mugging, you'll have to be more specific.

and seethe
I believe I know what data / study you are using. So here is my criticism:
  • The use of firearm in self defense is tied to the availability of the firearm in that exact moment of need. We can look to how many household own a gun in the US, that is about 35%. That is about 90 million. Next, is how many have the ability to carry, that is 21 million. Now is how many carry a majority of the time? About 3 million. Finally we should look at geographical breakdowns of gun ownership and carry. That shows gun ownership is much more common in rural and a suburban area.
What can one derive from this?

Since crimes occur in urban areas where their is less gun ownership and with CCW representing about 10% of gun owners with those that carry regularly being 1.5%; I could argue that the 1% of self defense cases where a gun is used it perfectly proportionate when controlling for geography.

  • This is either from the same self defense study or the UPENN one. Both are flawed. First, the non-UPENN study never accounted for the severity of the threat and the hostile party. Such, a woman getting their purse snatched may not be able to use any force to prevent the theft. But if an aggressive druggie wanted to kill me with a knife to take my stuff, I would be able to use force. The UPENN study is shit as it did not control for location nor criminal activity. Such a drug dealer selling crack at midnight in the ghetto with a gun is compared to some Soyboy that has a Kumbucha hangover that works for home.

The "you're more likely to shoot yourself!" meme is laughable.
  1. The ones making it usually assume you'll shoot yourself because they think you're as much of an incompetent sped as they are
  2. The same could be said of car accidents if you own a car.
Sorry, graboids, but the simple fact remains that we gun guys will always know our way around a gun better than you will. So don't even try to lecture us on anything. You are our inferiors.

I buy a 1,000 round magazine full of teflon coated steel jacketed steel cored fragmenting hollowpoints
Some fun facts: Teflon/PTFE coating is almost always a storage/feed/wear solution and then nominal increases in armor penetration are somewhat of a happy accident. Similar to "armor piercing green tips" some idiot somewhere thought polymer tips and Teflon coatings are one and the same. It was scary and therefore banned from production. So whatever you do, do not take off-the-shelf rounds and apply a thin layer of something like Krytox D12340486 GPL 206* (seriously that shit is more expensive than printer ink, a dab will do ya), and then sell those rounds. The ATF says NO! AFAIK a court has not addressed how legal Bubba slathering his IMI 5.56s for plinking is.

Like any other red blooded male I can respect steel, but the real heat makers is the spectacularly dense and hard tungsten. While normally requiring very specialized tooling, micro-production via powder-sintering/3D printing have driven fabrication costs through the floor. Another fun fact, this is a common material for machine tools and worn bits are surprisingly affordable in standard 1/4", 3/8", and 1/5" diameters. Simply "sabot" a .25" diameter piece in some slightly undersized 1/8" wall copper tubing, lube with the krytox, and you've basically got the hardest, most dense round with military-quality wear protection for a .300 caliber. Outside of custom penetrators or DU I struggle to think of something better.

*Above 500C Teflon of any kind will burn and release Flourine gas. This particular brand of MagicSmoke is incredibly toxic and carcinogenic. If you've been shooting Teflon or DU already, you're probably not making things too much worse by continuing to do so. If you never have, it should be avoided.

I see your name and a Paul Harrell Pic.
Obviously you are a man if culture.
Had any Pop Tarts lately?
I like the Cherry and Blueberry ones, frosted of course.

NYT journos have been doing some digging into how Uvalde police were trained to respond to a mass/school shooting. Not too surprisingly, they were taught to do the correct thing - put aside any risk to their safety to neutralize the threat as quickly as possible. The Uvalde school district also did an active shooter training sesh only 2 months ago. And yet they chose to ignore not only their moral responsibility to save innocent children, but also ignored their training.

So they were taught that even if it's only you, even if you have to die, your mission is to at least distract the fucking shooter?

Then they stood in the parking lot stroking their fucking dicks?

Any time anyone tells me I should give up my guns, I'm going to point straight at these assholes and say "What, and wait for the fucking cops?"

"Only cops and military should have guns!"
Are you fucking kidding me?

"Still, the elder Ramos insisted his son 'was a good person,' saying he dropped out of high school because he was bullied over his clothes."

Once upon a time I would have assumed that meant the kid wore super stereotypical goth/emo shit, or that they were wearing the tattered hand-me-downs in a nice area. But considering that the whole town is supposedly more low-income...
Idk, if someone is wearing clothing that stands out enough they're getting bullied of it, is it bad that I assume that means dude in a skirt?

God, I wish there wasn't such a black hole of info around this dude. It's as bad as that repeat rapist skirtboy in Landoun County or whatever; even if this dude dropped out of high school, how have no former classmates popped up saying 'yeah he was a freakshow, here's the full story'. No coworkers? None of his retarded snapchat buddies getting torn a new one by their parents?
How in the fuck is there just nothing?

Yeah, kind of interesting, huh?

Kid Ass to Mouth still hasn't been leaked.

We don't know shit about Las Vegas.

Nothing about this.

What do they all have in common, I wonder?

Because there's no way this fucking Zoomer wasn't online constantly.

Especially since if dude was being bullied bad enough to drop out of school, no way there isn't at least one person who was already ready to publically shit on him if given half a chance. Even MORE so after he shot a room full of little kids.

This entire fucking forum should be proof people love spilling the dirt given half the chance with no compounding factors at all, ffs.

I don't see what the point would've been, really. They would definitely have gotten protesters regardless of whether they did it today or three weeks from now.
I'm only asking. It's not their fault. Nobody predicted a motherfucker would kill 19 kids. This wouldn't of been about gun control had this happened in a blue state and the shooter was white, it would've been about something else

If I have to hear one more parent / relative of a mass shooter beg for forgiveness of their kid for what they did, I'm gonna start choking bitches.

Shut the fuck up. You failed to act as a parent. You knew he was fucked in the head, yet, you actually did nothing to prevent this. You're apart of the problem. Start looking after your goddamn kids. Jesus fucking Christ.
I wonder why did they question the mother of the mass murderor since nobody cares unironically. The only person that should be interested in talking to them, should be law enforcement amd maybe researchers looking at the science or philosophy or whatever the fuck behind massacres like this.

I would blame the media more for this horseshit since they did the same thing by talking to the mother of the niglet who got sent to hell while trying to murder a former police chief in Oakland. The mother was basically that the man didn't have to shoot her worthless niglet spawn despite caught on camera trying to kill someone even though her spawn was doing bad things.

At least this mother ain't that much "insensitive" compared to niglet breeders but I would not expect much from her anyway trying to register that her son is basically a demon from hell.

There are plenty of fuck up parents whose kids turn into gangbangers but rarely do any of them decide to go into a school and kill kids for kicks.

This isn't a defense of the mother but what angle is the media going for since they are a bunch of cunts themselves.

You know, when I first read this, I thought that it was unlikely and that people were too caught up in that trans mix up early on in the thread. But when I looked back at some of the news articles about an old classmate's impressions and interaction with the shooter, this bit stood out to me:
“He would message me here and there, and four days ago he sent me a picture of the AR he was using … and a backpack full of 5.56 rounds, probably like seven mags.”
“I was like, ‘bro, why do you have this?’ and he was like, ‘Don’t worry about it,’” the friend said.
“He proceeded to text me, ‘I look very different now. You wouldn’t recognize me,’” he added.
He could have just been making reference to how much he changed during puberty but who knows. The shooter didn't strike me as someone trying to present as feminine and his family hasn't made a point to refer to him with feminine pronouns. Of course, we could argue that his being trans-if that is indeed a thing-was something that he kept secret or something that his family couldn't support (which is likely, being Catholic or at the very least more conservative despite the apparent dysfunction).

The manager of the Wendy's that he worked at (it's the only Wendy's located in Ulvade, so it has to be a match) did make some comments about how he was at work, but it was nothing much beyond: "he just clocked in, clocked out and kept to himself".

Yeah, kind of interesting, huh?

Having an online footprint this small is rather atypical, but not unheard of in more socially maladjusted Zoomers. People who struggle to make and keep friends in real life seldom have the social skills required to really connect with others online (not in the normie sense anyway). Since there isn't much to gain, he might have thought that maintaining a social media (beyond his Facebook, Instagram, and Xbox Live accounts) presence as a waste of time and mostly used accounts to passively scroll through content and send the occasional DM.

As for former classmates, there was that one old friend who lost touch over the years. I don't think that the students who bullied him aren't willing to come forward because they might end up being blamed for "setting the wheels in motion", so to speak. It's probably a good thing that the media isn't saying much about the shooter's life. Let him fade into obscurity and all that.

Does this retarded kike realize the state of gun laws in Vermont lol even with the recent 30 round magazine ban.

Or that many of his fans and followers love guns themselves in general. Like Joe Rogan lol or that one podcast with the pajeet and spaghetti nigger.

Do you guys think the NRA convention should've been rescheduled for another week or somewhere around mid june?
No.

Fuck that bullshit since there is no good faith anymore from shitlibs and their pets.

There would have been another shooting and same bullshit from the media in its current state.

In a nation as large as the United States, the idea that liberals can create some crime free sanitized utopia that resembles some British toddler's cartoon is pure lunacy.

Unpopular opinion but every police department should have a few guys just waiting for an excuse to "get their gun on".

I am not saying send these guys to every call that comes in but when the "shooter in school, multiple casualties" call comes in let these guys go go their thing. When you have a mass shooter the only thing anyone owes him is accurate shot placement, to quote Paul Harrell. There needs to be people on our police forces willing, dare I say enthusiastic to do do this when the time calls...
That is supposed to be the case with active shooter situations. In terms of training, they are unlike most anything else in policing in terms of aggressiveness.

Currently the narrative is that the school district police chief was a one-man roadblock who actively ordered everyone to not go in there. Left unanswered is a question of whether he was even there at the time.
