Depends what you count as mainstream media because I would regard social media as part of mainstream media too.
It only takes a 10 second scroll through Tiktok and Instagram to see a narrative being pushed.
Maybe you’re referring to more professional media such as the press, but I suppose I should have been clearer in referencing social media, which I would argue (unfortunately) has the same, if not, a greater impact.
The SJWs on nearly every social media platform have been pushing the “men can be abused too” thing for a while now. Sure, men are still disadvantaged in abuse cases, but I’m more referring to the new narrative being pushed which is undeniably biased regardless of who was innocent in this case.

These two really are a shining example of night and day as far as how low people will go regarding celebrity worship under the ode of law and order.

Maybe not all the MSM, but a lot of it. Way too many reporters have been blindly on her side and refuse to back down even though the evidence backed up his claims and refuted hers. Ive read articles that state things like the majority of the public is on his side because she is an "imperfect victim", which is ridiculous. Johnny Depp was the imperfect victim in this situation. Yes, he had a drug problem, yes he could get angry and slam cabinets and yeah, he said some mean things about her in texts to his friends, but there was not a shred of evidence that he was ever physically abusive to her and plenty evidence that abused him, including recordings of her admitting to hitting him.
I still dont understand the jury's reasoning for that. I know that Amber was counter suing Johnny Depp for defamation based on statements made by Depp's former attorney Adam Waldman in which Waldman stated or alluded that Amber's claims of being a victim of abuse were a hoax,. However, the fact that they awarded Depp 10 million in compensatory damages and 5 million punitive( the latter reduced to 350K due to Virginia's cap on punitive damages) shows that they believed Depp was telling the truth and that Amber Heard was lying, which should have been enough to toss out her counter suit based on the fact that the truth is a defense against defamation. I think they found in favor of her on one count based on some technicality. I dont believe she deserved a penny, but the verdict was still a major victory for him.

Depp was dragged through the mud for years. It was only when the audios were made public that public opinion swung in his favour. The media, however, has always been pro Heard. Only the Daily Mail, who was the first major MSM player to make the audios public, remained neutral.
I'm certain she has something on Elon Musk. Her texts, in which she admitted she never loved him and that he was just "occupying space," were made public two or three years ago now. Yet he still paid for her legal defence. He has close ties with Rupert Murdoch who, of course, owns The Sun newspaper and The New York post which were both vehemently against Depp.
There's more to this story. I'm certain of it. I just hope it all comes out in the wash..

At the end of the day it doesn't matter what media outlets say. Johnny won in the court of public opinion. the only people who support amber are fringe groups that the majority of society mocks.
