Yeah except the PS5 going MTX heavy is specifically for the asian crowd(which they will eat up as seen in Genshin Impact) and the PS5 itself is already performing better throughout asia than the PS4 did at the same point in time. Sony just recently established a major Chinese division for game development and the demographics between Asia and Japan are not a whole lot different when it comes to what game genres they desire. Games like Apex Legends are popular in both Japan, Korea, and China as is stuff like Genshin.
Funny how you entirely ignored
@Hammr2 's post on the same page because it destroyed your made-up narrative:
Apparently, you forgot about the other games in "Incredible content".

GTA5, NBA and FIFA, all these big three have microtransaction in their game too. With NBA and FIFA have their own lootbox model.
"Incredible content" with 4 games being gacha/microtransaction heavy, bravo Sony. No wonder why they want GAAS so much.
And I'm fairly certain that Fate/GO and Uma Musume are bigger influences as mobile gacha games in Japan than Genshin Impact. But that's just a mere observation as a result from browsing japanese communities, not as someone who actually plays that type of game so ???
Square's main install base for their games is on playstation that's why there's no switch port of Final Fantasy 16 either. Bandai Namco is in a similar position which is why Elden Ring and Tales of Arise didn't get brought to the switch.
All those games you listed took a massive amount of time to be made from the ground up:
According to producer Yusuke Tomizawa, development of Arise began before the announcement of the Definitive Edition of Tales of Vesperia in 2018.
Elden Ring was developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
It was announced at E3 2019 originally for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. No further information was revealed until a June 2021 trailer announced a release date of January 21, 2022, with additional releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
During the
original announcement the game [Final Fantasy 16] was also said to be developed for Microsoft Windows; this was later retracted, with Square Enix announcing it as a timed console exclusive for the PlayStation 5.
None of them could have predicted the PS5 would be a commercial mess like it is currently after one year & half in the japanese market, unable to take the mantle of the PS4 (while both the PS3 and PS4 could respectively in their own timelines).
And I'm reposting the retail graph from
a few pages back as I suspect you to have conveniently ignored it for the sake of your fanfiction.

Well, it just proves Square-Enix's and Bandai-Namco's audiences are primarily on Switch firstmost with retail game sales not only larger in total numbers but also with stronger legs in the long run. Worth to mention the Densha de Go port on Switch came out several months late but ended up being the best-selling version.
But what about [current year] then?
[NSW] The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story (Square-Enix) [2022.05.12] - 7.529
[PS4] The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story (Square-Enix) [2022.05.12] - 3.476
[PS5] The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story (Square-Enix) [2022.05.12] - 3.503
ouch
I spent many tens of hours collecting those 900 korok seeds and all but two hours clearing the main line game dungeons. I discovered all the locations, beat all the shrines, and even killed all the overworld bosses because that's a requirement for the secret shop(that and I collected all special horses and cosmetic horse armor).
As
@HeyYou pointed out earlier in this thread:
At some point, the amount of games and consoles that you own that are conveniently relevant to your specific argument becomes a bit incredulous.
Digital only doesn't count.
Even if we were to count digital, I safely assume Steam makes up most of those japanese game sales in a global scale, not Playstation.
